The correct answer is number 2) the North manufactured goods to sell mainly to the Southern states, but the South preferred imports.

The tariffs controversy exposed sectional differences between the North and the South in that the North manufactured goods to sell mainly to the Southern states, but the South preferred imports.

The Congress of the United States passed the Tariff 0f 1828 on May 19, in order to protect the production of goods in the country, specifically in the states of the North. But Southern states immediately opposed to the act, heading by South Carolina, that considered the decision as to the "Tariff of Abominations," because the act set a 38% tax of most imported good. This represented a negative impact on the economy of the Southern states.

For each of the presidential powers below, explain one way that congressional decision making is affected by that power. • veto
marshall27 [118]
The decisions of Congress are heavily influenced by the power of the president. One example would be the power of veto. Even if Congress passes a law in both the House of Representatives and Senate, it does not become a law until the president officially signs it. If the president vetoes (overrules) this law, then Congress must be able to override this veto with a 2/3 vote in both the Senate and House. With this in mind, Congress must ensure before passing the law that if it is vetoed that they would have the power to still make this law possible.

As commander in chief, the president has significant power of the military. Even though Congress needs to approve a declaration of war, they must consider what policies the president will implement once the country is at war.

In which of the following economic activities did Naples, the southern-most Italian city-state, have a distinct advantage due to
Alex17521 [72]

Your answer would be A). Trade

______________________________________________________

Naples had a huge advantage when it comes to trading because of where they're located. They are a harbor on the Mediterranean sea, and there is a lot of people that cross the Mediterranean sea to trade. Because they are next to the sea, they can trade with people internationally. They are right next to Rome, so traders that are going to Rome could possibly pass by Naples and trade with them too.
