Having freckles (F) is dominant over not having freckles (f). A parent with freckles is crossed with a parent without freckles.

The Punnett square shows the possible genotypes of the offspring.
What is the probability that an offspring will have a homozygous dominant genotype?
%

What is the probability that an offspring will have a heterozygous genotype?

Answer:

This is a trick question, and only because the question is vague

Explanation:

Use a Punnet Square to figure out the percentages.

If the parent with freckles (let's just call them Parent A) is homozygous dominant, their genotype would be FF.  The parent without freckles (Parent B) has a genotype of ff.

In any situation, the probability of these two having a child that is homozygous dominant for freckles is 0%.  (see punnet squares for more info).

Now here's where it gets a little more confusing because the question is kind of vague on this.

Assuming that Parent A is homozygous dominant (both genes for this are dominant (FF)), then the probability of having a heterozygous (non-identical genotype letters, meaning they carry the recessive trait) genotype is 100%.  However, if Parent A is also heterozygous, then that percentage decreases to 50%

For Situation A (Parent A is homozygous dominant), the probability of a homozygous recessive genotype is 0%

For Situation B (Parent A is heterozygous dominant), the probability of a homozygous recessive child is 50%.

Please see the Punnet square I made for more information.

Key:

- Homozygous Dominant: FF

- Heterozygous Dominant: Ff

- Homozygous Recessive: ff

(heterozygous recessive does not exist, because that would mean one of the genes is dominant, which would overpower the recessive gene)

I really hope this helps, and if you're confused by this, please do not hesitate to let me know!

Answer:

Endosymbiosis of an oxygen-using scavenger bacterium in a larger host cell−the endosymbiont evolved into lysosomes.

Explanation:

The evolution of eukaryotic cells in all probability included: endosymbiosis of an oxygen-utilizing bacterium in a bigger host cell−the endosymbiont developed into mitochondria. development of an endomembrane framework and consequent advancement of mitochondria from a segment of the Golgi. endosymbiosis of an oxygen-utilizing photosynthetic bacterium in a bigger host cell−the endosymbiont advanced into mitochondria. endosymbiosis of an oxygen-utilizing scrounger bacterium in a bigger host cell−the endosymbiont developed into lysosomes.

larisa [96]
Large central vacuoles, chloroplasts, and cell walls are only found in plant cells.

Large central vacuoles store nutrients and waste products, but they also maintain the plants' structures.

Cell walls also maintain structure and rigidity.

Chloroplasts are used in the process of photosynthesis, which only occurs in plants.

Which molecule listed is most likely to cause osmosis in the body? protein glucose oxygen sodium chloride?
mario62 [17]

The answer is protein

Osmosis happens when the osmotic pressure of two container separated by semipermeable membrane is different. The osmotic pressure could be exert by polar solute because they will attract water molecule. Protein, glucose, and sodium chloride is the common molecule that could cause osmosis. But protein is the main substance that keep the osmotic pressure of the blood in the body.
