Explanation:

The  Chromosomal Theory of Inheritance, basically answer the question: where are genes found in a cell?

It was described by Sutton and Boveri between 1902-1903 and states that individual genes are found at specific locations on particular chromosomes. It also postulates that the behavior of chromosomes during meiosis can explain why genes are inherited according to Mendel’s laws.

It states:

- Chromosomes, like Mendel's genes, come in matched (homologous) pairs in an organism:  one member comes from the mother and one from the father.

- The members of a homologous pair separate in meiosis, so each sperm or egg receives just one member. This is referred as the law of segregation.

-The members of different chromosome pairs are sorted into gametes independently of one another in meiosis.

Yakvenalex [24]
The process that is vital in the recycling of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus is decomposition.
During decomposition, organic matter from dead organisms is broken down. This break down yields simpler and smaller substances from the more complex ones that were present in the organism.
Carbon is released from the carbohydrates and fats that were present in the organism. Nitrogen is released from the proteins that were present and phosphorus is released from the nucleic acids.

Which would most likely lead to a change in the genetic structure of a population?
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

The answer is C.

A 5 percent increase in the reproductive success of some genotypes, but a 5 percent decrease in the reproductive success of other genotypes

Explanation:

Incomplete question, here is the full question: https://quizlet.com/153540854/biology-107-part1-flash-cards/

For the genetic structure of a population to change, we can either depend on natural selection or mutations but there has to be an imbalance.

The answers given in the options A and B are referring to changes in genotypes which surely affects the genetic structure of the population but the way these options are given is in equilibrium, meaning they create and imbalance but then counter that with something else.

In option C, some genotypes get a 5 percent increase while some get a 5 percent decrease in their reproductive success, which will most likely result in a change in the genetic structure of a population.

I hope this answer helps.

Which of the following statements correctly describes the activation of autonomic nervous system function within the circulatory
balandron [24]

Answer:

Sympathetic nervous system activation constricts arteries found within the salivary glands

Explanation:

The ANS controls the  involuntary contraction of the heart cardiac muscles, glands, intestine, the peripheral resistance of vascular systems, and the rate of pumping of the blood by the heart.

Thus, the ANS system during stressful conditions increases the blood  pressure, heart rate, constrict blood vessels in glands and intestine and dilate the pupils, in anticipation for fight or flight.
