The answer is B. When a food worker has an earache a few hours before he is scheduled to work, he is required to report the symptoms to his manager.

EXPLANATION

According to the Food Code by the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA), food workers with illness symptoms are not required to work. Instead, the Food Code requires that food workers report the symptoms and diagnoses to their managers. This way, managers can determine if the food worker should come to work or not.

This regulation is taken to prevent foodborne illness outbreaks. It’s because sick food workers have been implicated in foodborne illness outbreaks. However, not all local food codes in the USA include FDA’s sick worker regulation. That’s why there are still many food workers go to work even when they’re sick.

However, besides the nonexistent of FDA’s sick worker regulation in certain states, there are also several other factors why food workers still work while they’re sick:

  • Concern about negative consequences

Food workers worry they wouldn’t get paid if they didn’t work. They also concern about losing their jobs if they miss work.

  • Restaurant staffing

If the restaurant has a lot of customers while the restaurant is also short-staffed, food workers are more likely to come to work even when they’re sick.

  • Management policy

When a restaurant doesn’t apply the FDA’s sick worker regulation, the manager usually leaves the decision to food workers whether they work or not while sick.

Describe each of the FITT training principles. (Site 1)
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

The F stands for frequency, which is how often a person exercises.

The I stands for intensity, which is the amount of hard work one puts into a particular workout. The intensity can be difficult to balance, since the exercise needs to be difficult so that it overloads the body, but not so much so that it could cause injury.

The first T of the acronym stands for time which is how long the workout session is, which depends on the type of workout.

The T stands for type which is whether one chooses a cardio, strength, or flexibility activity.

The FITT helps many be able to plan their individual fitness plan, which can help them achieve a healthier lifestyle.

If a person suffered a stroke which damaged brain region b, what happens to the patient's body?
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

A stroke is a loss of blood flow to a certain part of the brain. The resulting damage depends on the location and extensiveness of the stroke. A stroke to the left side of the brain will affect cognitive, motor and sensory areas. Language, thinking, behavior and physical movement can be impaired. Stroke is the third most common cause of death and is the main cause of disability among adults.

For most people, the primary language center is located on the left side of the brain. The American Stroke Association explains that a stroke in this area can cause either temporary or permanent impaired language ability. Not only can a person’s speech ability be affected, but the ability to read and write as well. Aphasia, the inability to use or comprehend language, agraphia, difficulty with writing words, and alexia, difficulty with reading, are all possible effects of a left-sided stroke.
