Answer:

 The approximate year-end 2018 balance in accounts receivable for Corn Products is $1506849.31

Explanation:

For computing the year-end balance of accounts receivable, we have to use the formula of the average collection period which is shown below:

Average collection period = 365 ÷ average accounts receivable

50 = 365 ÷ average accounts receivable ratio

So, average accounts receivable ratio  = 365 ÷ 50 = 7.3

Now, average accounts receivable ratio = Net credit sales ÷ average accounts receivable

7.3 = $11,000,000 ÷ average accounts receivable

So, Average accounts receivable = $11,000,000 ÷ 7.3 = $1506849.31

We assume 365 days in a year

Hence,  the approximate year-end 2018 balance in accounts receivable for Corn Products is $1506849.31

o-na [289]

Answer:

$75.40

Explanation:

Mark up is a percentage applied on the cost to get the selling price. In other  word, the difference between the marked-up amount and the total cost gives the profit of the entity.

To get the target selling price, we would first determine the total cost, then apply the mark up percentage on the cost and add the result to the cost.

Total cost per unit

= $12 + $4 + $9 + $10 + $5 + $12

= $52

Amount of mark up

= 45% * $52

= $23.40

Target selling price = $52 + $23.40

= $75.40

Answer: democratic leadership

Carmen stated a possible solution that was increasing tuition fee and then Carmen said that it should be considered. This means that she did not impose it that that is the only solution and that has to be done in any way, if she did then it would’ve been autocratic leadership.

Carmen left some room for discussion and this means it is a democratic approach in leadership.

PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

a, Inventory cost under First in first out- FIFO = $ 4,628

b. Inventory cost under Last in First Out LIFO = $ 4,378

c. Inventory cost under Weighted average cost = $ 4,494

Explanation:

The data need to be summarised

                                                    Units      Per Unit Cost           Total value

August 1 Opening inventory          80                                           $ 1,600

August 5 Purchases                      100                                           $ 2,116

August 11 Purchases                      <u>200</u>                                         <u> $ 4,416</u>

Weighted average cost                  380           $ 21.4                   $  8,132

August 11 Sales                               <u>(170)</u>

Units in hand after Aug 11 sales    210

Computation on inventory cost under FIFO method

Under FIFO method the cost of goods sold are considered from the opening inventory and the first purchases. The inventory on hand is from the last purchases.

The inventory on hand of 210 units, of which 200 units are from August 11 and 10 units from the purchases of August 5.

The average unit cost of Aug 11 purchases is $ 4,416/ 200 units = $ 22.08

The average unit cost of Aug 05 purchases is $ 2,116 /100 units = $ 21.16

200 units * $ 22.08   = $ 4,416.00

10 units * $ 21.16        = <u>$     211.60</u>

                                      $ 4627.60 say $ 4,628

Computation on inventory cost under LIFO method

Under LIFO method the cost of goods sold are considered from the last purchases and the inventory on hand is from the opening inventory and first purchases.

The inventory on hand of 210 units is as follows

Opening inventory                                      80 units                    $ 1,600

Purchases August 5                                   100 units                   $  2,116

Purchases August 11                                    30 [email protected] $22.08   <u>$      662.40</u>

Inventory under LIFO Method                                                    $ 4,378.40

Computation on inventory cost under Weighted Average method

The weighted average cost of inventory is 210 units * $ 21.40   = $ 4,494

Softa [21]

Answer:

nominal interest rate = 4% annual

effective interest rate =  5.56% annual

Explanation:

the bond's nominal rate is basically the coupon rate

to calculate the bond's effective interest rate we must calculate its yield to maturity:

YTM = [coupon + [(face value - present value) / n]} / [(face value + present value) / 2]

  • coupon = $1,000 x 4% x 1/2 = $20
  • FV = $1,000
  • PV = $800
  • n = 40

YTM = [20 + [(1,000 - 800) / 40]} / [(1,000 + 800) / 2]

YTM = 25 / 900 = 2.777 semiannual ⇒ 5.56% annual
