Answer:

The plateau phase seen during the action potential of a cardiac muscle cell is due to e. opening of calcium fast channels.

Explanation:

During cardiac contraction, myocardic cells reach a phase called phase 2 in which thanks to the umbral valor that they reach on the previous phase 1, calcium fast channels that are voltage dependent are open. Those fast channels just stay open by a few decimals of seconds. When those channels of calcium are open, a lot of calcium ions get into the cell maintaining depolarization of the myocardic cells.  All positive charge that posses the cell due to the previous situation, causes efflux of potassium(an ion which have also a positive charge) like a  way to reach a physiologic balance.

Answer:

The answer to the question: What are the code selections for the procedure and diagnosis, would be: 51702, N40.1 and R33.8.

Explanation:

ICD-10-CM codes are a system of classification that categorizes illnesses, diseases and injuries on patients and they have been established and accepted by the WHO (World Health Organization), therefore they are accepted worldwide as coding descriptors for patient illnesses. These codes used to be known before as ICD-9 codes, but this classification was changed to ICD-10. On the other hand, we have, CPT codes, Current Procedural Terminology, an American coding system used for billing purposes that classifies the medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures that will be charged for when a patient is treated for a specific condition, injury, or disease. In the case of this patient, the ICD-10 and CPT codes will depend on the disease for which the patient will be treated and also the materials, procedures and general diagnostic services that will be used to treat his urinary situation.

A coworker just amputated his thumb in a cutting press. What is your first concern as a first aid provider?
Wittaler [7]

The answer is: Applying a tourniquet

First aid means the first treatment giving to an injured or ill-person before he or she get the necessary treatment from a hospital or care center.

As a first aid provider in my office, my first concern will be putting pressure on the cut site to prevent further loss of blood and this is made possible by applying a tourniquet.

A tourniquet is device used to reduce bleeding on an injured part. It is placed on the injured site and this work by applying pressure on the large blood vessel to reduce blood loss through the ruptured skin.

Tourniquet serves as an first aid equipment used to stop bleeding before the right treatment will be given by certified medical practitioner.
