Alonzo graduates with a 3.8 GPA in Accounting from a New York university and receives offers of employment from three of the Big

Four accounting firms. While considering his options, a mid-sized firm in California calls and offers him twice the starting salary of his top offer. The only caveat is he needs to be in Los Angeles within the next week. Alonzo excitedly decides to take the California job. He refuses the other employment offers, breaks his lease in New York, sells or gives away most of his possessions, buys a new car, and heads for L.A. the next day. When he arrives three days later, the firm apologizes and informs Alonzo that the position is no longer available due to the loss of a major client. Based on these facts, does Alonzo have a potential claim against the accounting firm?

Answer:

Based on the facts, there is no legal claim he can create against the accounting firm

Explanation:

While it is true that Alonzo had received and accepted a formal proposal by the accounting firm in Los Angeles, it only becomes valid and binding when the contract with the company is signed. Therefore, any event that occurs between the acceptance of the proposal and the signing of the contract does not generate liability in either party. Unfortunately for Alonzo, there's no potential claim agains the accounting firm that he can do.

How DNA polymerase, the double helix structure of DNA, and the base-pairing rules work together to produce two identical copies
Contact [7]
DNA structure, function and replication. DNA is a long molecule that consists of two strands of nucleotides twisted together in a long spiral called a double helix, the base-pairing rules describe which bases pair together in a DNA double helix, work together to produce two identical copies of the original DNA molecule=DNA structure; DNA funcution; RNA; replication; transcription; translation; the two strands are wound round each other to form a double helix. The two strands. Are joined together by hydrogen bonds between the bases, before every cell divison, so that one identical copy can go to each daughter cell =because the two strands of a DNA molcule have complementary base pairs, the nucleotide each can be used as a pattern or template to produce a complementary strand together then form a new DNA double helix, identical to the orginal. The enzyme DNA polymerase then moves along the exposed DNA strand

Joan uses a model to show how wood burns at the level of atoms and molecules. Her model tracks 840 carbon atoms that make up a s
aksik [14]

Answer:

The correct option is A. Matter is conserved during the burning of wood

Explanation:

One of the major theories of matter states that the amount of mass at the start of a reaction is equal to the amount of the mass at the end of the reaction.

As in Joan's study, he shows that the amount of carbon atoms remain 840 during each of the combustion reactions. The number of carbon atoms in wood at the start of the reaction was equal to the number of carbon atoms in carbon dioxide at the end of the reaction. Hence, Joan's model supports the theory that matter is conserved during the burning of the wood.

Effectus [21]

Answer:

Madge is likely to have schizophrenia.

Explanation:

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that causes an individual to suffer delusions and hallucinations that cause totally abnormal and parranoic behaviors.

As has already been said, schizophrenia causes altered and abnormal behaviors, confused thoughts and difficulties in adapting to reality. It is a very disabling disease and can cause an individual to completely lose control of his mental faculties.

Madge's behavior shows that he has confused thoughts, paranoid behaviors and loss of reality, so we can say that he is likely to have schizophrenia.

In humans, Rh-positive individuals have the Rh antigen on their red blood cells, while Rh-negative individuals do not. If the Rh
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

D. 0.60

Explanation:

If the population is in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, the genotypic frequencies are:

 • freq AA = p²
 • freq Aa = 2pq
 • freq aa = q²

p is the frequency of the Rh positive allele (A) and q is the frequency of the Rh-negative allele (a).

If 84% of the population is Rh-positive, then 16% is Rh-negative and has the genotype aa. Therefore:

q² = 0.16

q = √0.16

q=0.4

And because p+q=1,

p = 1 - 0.4

p = 0.6

The frequency of the Rh-positive allele is 0.6
