Answer:

a. Unconditioned Stimulus (US) – Teacher saying jump

b. Conditioned Stimulus (CS) – Clearing the throat, saying Uhmmmm... and then banging the stick/ruler and saying jump

c. Unconditioned Response (UR) – Jumping after hearing the word “jump”

d. Conditioned Response (CR) – Jumping after hearing Uhmmmm….banging of ruler and word “jump”

Explanation:

Unconditioned response is one in which the response generated in natural while in conditioned response, response is generated in unnatural fashion.

Likewise, unconditioned stimulus is a natural causing factor behind any natural response while conditioned stimulus is an unnatural causing factor behind any unnatural response.

a. Unconditioned Stimulus (US) – Teacher saying jump

c. Unconditioned Response (UR) – Jumping after hearing the word “jump”

d. Conditioned Response (CR) – Jumping after hearing Uhmmmm….banging of ruler and word “jump”

Which statement is NOT part of the Mitchell chemiosmotic hypothesis? High‑energy phosphorylated intermediates that serve as phos
gogolik [260]

Answer:

High-energy phosphorylated intermediates that serve as phosphate donors to ADP are generated as a result of electron-transfer reactions.

Explanation:

Peter Mitchell proposed Chemiosmotic hypothesis which state that the driving of the synthesis of ATP is accomplished by a proton-motive force. He propose that whenever electron is moved along the electron transfer chain then proton will be moved accross the inner part of mitochondria membrane. As a result of this there would be increase in PH of the mitochondria matrix and reduced PH of the intermembrane space.

Some Evidence about Chemiosmotic hypothesis hypothesis;

1)transportation of electron brings about the generatation of a proton gradient. there is difference in the PH on the outside and inside the mitochondria.

2)To synthesis ATP, a proton gradient is required only and other means by which PH gradient is generated

Therefore,High-energy phosphorylated intermediates that serve as phosphate donors to ADP are generated as a result of electron-transfer reactions is not Micheal Mitchell statement.

Technological advances had helped reveal that the ocean floor was not flat, as once believed, but instead was marked by 50,000-k
poizon [28]
By the late 1960s, scientists had developed the theory of plate tectonics based on a range of new evidence. Technological advances had helped reveal that the ocean floor was not essentially flat, as once assumed, but instead was marked by 50,000-kilometer-long (31,000-mile), 3,000-meter-high (9,800-ft) ridges and 11-kilometer-deep (7-mile) trenches. Scientists found striking patterns related to these features. They found that the youngest oceanic crust is located nearest the mid-ocean ridge and the oldest crust is nearest the trenches. They also detected a pattern of alternating magnetic polarity along the ocean floor, which emanated from the ridge tops. These two pieces of evidence, coupled with the fact that volcanic activity and island-building occurred most commonly at ocean trenches, suggested that new crust was created at mid-ocean ridges and destroyed at ocean trenches. Scientists Harry Hess and Robert Dietz used this evidence to revive and expand Holmes' convection theory into the theory they called "seafloor spreading." Finally, Wegener's notion of continental drift was coupled with a mechanism that could explain the movement of tectonic plates.
