The title "Another Evening at the Club" is close to me meaning of "Just Another Evening at the Club" because at the end of the story Samia "the wife" shows that she has empathy towards Gazia for what she and her husband have done to her. They in a sense through a mistake have ruined Gazia's reputation in town, she is being questioned by the police and will be ashamed in front of the whole town for a crime she actually did not commit.

Samia shows remorse but within a few minutes Samia and Abboud Bey gather themselves and go out to the club for supper. The wording emphasises that life goes on for them as normal - "Just Another Evening at the Club" but in reality they had changed someone else's life forever

Mike went to the ATM to take out $20 for the movies. Later in the day, he transferred $36 to his checking account
kotykmax [81]

Answer:

The letter A represents where the amount of $20 should be written.

The letter D represents where the amount of $36 should be written.

The ending balance, E, is $154.85.

Mike withdrew $20 at an ATM, so A, which is in the "ATM Withdrawal Debit" box, is $20.

Mike later transferred $36 to his checking account. Transferring means moving away to another place, so that $36 is represented by D, which is in the "Transfer From Savings Deposit" box.

Now, Mike withdrew $20 (-20) and transferred in $36 (36). According to the balance from 3/16, he had $138.85. $138.85 - $20 + $36 = $154.85.

Hope this helped!

Answer:

A. conforming to social conventions

B. criticism of a middle class lifestyle

E. the necessity of companionship

Explanation:

The first alternative is supported by the first part of the passage in which Tolstoy describes all the reasons why Fedorovna seems to be a good match for Ilyich in the eyes of the society and Ivan Ilyitch himself.

The second alternative is an overall conclusion that can be derived from the fact that the passage describes marriage more like a business deal than a derivation of love.

The third alternative is revealed to us by the fact that Ivan Ilyitch knew himself that Fedorovna is not her best match, but decided to still marry her, because he needed to have a partner.

Read the excerpt from "The Crab That Played with the Sea.”
lina2011 [118]

The conclusion about the Eldest Magician that this excerpt supports is that the Eldest Magician has a good sense of humor.

When the man said that he was to tired to paddle, the Eldest Magician joked about him being so lazy that his children will be too, and even went as far as to declare them "Malazy—the lazy people". However, in spite of joking about his laziness, he complied with the man's request to have the Sea work for him twice a day, therefore creating the tides.
