A postsynaptic potential is a graded potential that is the result of a neurotransmitter released into the synapse between two ne
Ksju [112]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

When the resting potential of the membrane is changed, the membrane becomes either more negative inside or less negative. This small deviation from the resting potential is called graded potential. A graded potential occurs when a stimulus triggers opening or closing of the mechanically gated  or ligand-gated channels present in the plasma membrane.

For example, the presynaptic neuron releases neurotransmitters in response to a nerve impulse. The neurotransmitter binds to receptors present in the plasma membrane of the postsynaptic neuron and triggers the opening of the ion channels to allow the inflow of particular ions to flow. The flow of ions changes the voltage across the membrane. This change in membrane voltage is a postsynaptic potential and is a type of graded potential.

Explanation:

The rods and cone cell are photoreceptive cells in the eye. The Rod cells are sensitive to coloured lights stimulus, while the Cones cells are sensitive to black and white stimulus.

It is often stated that the phosphate bonds in atp are "high energy," but in fact, they are not notably high in energy. rather,
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

The answer is Negative charges on phosphate groups repel each other. The oxygen groups of a phosphoanhydride in ATP have electron cloud that repels each other. On hydrolysis, once a phosphate is lost, the electrostatic repulsion is reduced.

When ATP is hydrolyzed, it forms more hydrogen bonds with surrounding water molecules that when ATP is unhydrolyzed. Therefore, more energy is released since more bonds are formed than are broken. The net delta G is positive during hydrolysis of ATP.

Which is one type of evidence that geologists usually study? location of Earth in outer space waves that move through Earth inte
Harman [31]

Answer:

  • waves that move through Earth
  • mineral composition of Earth’s layers
  • different rock samples from Earth’s surface

Explanation:

  • A geologist is interested in finding the evidence related to the study of seismic waves that move throughout the earth's interior and find out the mineral composition of different types of rocks on the surface of the earth along with the collection of different types of rock samples. A geologist is studies the structure and composition of various elements in the earth system.
