Answer:

The crucifixion is a mechanism of torture and murder of people by those who hold power at the time, whose purpose is to maintain control over the masses through terror and fear.

The oldest records of the existence of crucifixion date from the time of the Assyrians and Persians, being subsequently used by the Roman Empire by which it is known today.

In the Christian religion, Crucifixion means the agony of Jesus of Nazareth on the cross. According to the Bible, Jesus is crucified and then resurrected. In this sense, the crucifixion also refers to this passage found in the New Testament.

Crucifixions used different types of crosses. The most used in the Roman crucifixion is the T shape, although the best known is the shape of the Catholic cross being the image of the crucifixion of the Messiah Jesus uses this type.

The crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth described in the New Testament gospels constitutes one of the main celebrations of the faithful of the Catholic Church known as Holy Week.

In this sense, the crucifixion of Jesus is necessary for his resurrection that proves that he is the son of God. In this way, the beginning of Holy Week is marked by the Friday of sorrows that recalls the tears and pain of Mary after the death of her son Jesus.

In the Colossal Head of Constantine, why did the sculptor make the face appear emotionless and mask-like?
Wewaii [24]
The sculptor was following a Roman tradition at the time to portray emperors as other-worldly, almost godlike beings. He makes his eyes very large and his face stoic to convey that he his someone not quite human like the rest of us, and perhaps he is above the fleeting emotions that govern the rest of mankind.
