Answer:

a. $10 per share

b. 16 million shares

c. $250 million

d. 64%

e. No one gain or loss

Explanation:

a. The expected market price of the common stock is same as given in the question i.e $10 per share

b. The buy back shares would be

= New debt value ÷ market price per share

= $160 million ÷ $10

= 16 million shares

c. The market value of the firm would be

= (Outstanding shares - buy back shares) × market price per share + debt value

= (25 million shares - 16 million shares) × $10 + $160 million

= $90 million + $1260 million

= $250 million

d. The debt ratio would be

= Debt value ÷ market value of the firm

= $160 million ÷ 250 million

= 64%

e. No one gain or loss

A number of things organizations can do prior to change to prepare employees include which of the following?
natulia [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is Allow employees to particpate.

Explanation:

Following a strategy in which employee participation is promoted does not imply that all problems are delegated to them, or rather unimportant problems; It consists in the active intervention of workers when identifying, analyzing and solving problems that make it difficult to achieve business objectives. It is important that employees get involved in the challenges of the organization to which they belong, and in the same way that they feel satisfied by a positive performance, they must also be aware and persistent in the face of adverse situations that affect the performance of the company.

The real risk-free rate of interest is 4%. Inflation is expected to be 2% this year and 4% during each of the next 2 years. Assu
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

For the 2 year treasury securities it was 7%, and for a 3 year treasury securities it was 7.33%

Explanation:

From the example,

The real risk rate of interest is= 4%

The inflation expectation of this year=2%

Inflation expected for the next 2 years=4%

Maximum risk premium=0

Therefore

Rt= r* + (Inflation/ year)

Rt2= 4 + (2 + 4 / 2) = 7%

Rt3= 4 + (2 + 4 / 3) = 7.33%

cluponka [151]

Answer:

The correct option is B,demand-based

Explanation:

Demand-based is the pricing strategy of hiking prices at busy at peak periods and charging modest prices at off-peak periods.

The reason for charging higher prices at peak periods the traffic at that time stretches the resources of the business, hence a little extra price is added as contribution towards maintenance of existing facilities and possible upgrade in the near future.

This approach is also known with telecommunication firms such as Vodafone and MTN.

Southern Rim Parts estimates its manufacturing overhead to be $495,000 and its direct labor costs to be $900,000 for year 1. The
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

Job 301 $ 11,000

Job 302 $ 16,500

Job 303 $ 22,000

Explanation:

\frac{Cost\: Of \:Manufacturing \:Overhead}{Cost \:Driver}= Overhead \:Rate

To calculate the overhead rate we divide the estimated overhead cost by the estimated cost driver:

\frac{495,000}{900,000}= Overhead \:Rate

0.55 overhead rate

Job 301 $20,000 labor cost x 0.55 overhead rate

11,000

Job 302 $30,000 labor cost x 0.55 overhead rate

16,500

Job 303 $40,000 labor cost x 0.55 overhead rate

22,000

Wade paid $7,000 for an automobile that needed substantial repairs. he worked nights and weekends to restore the car and spent $
Brrunno [24]
Yes, it would matter. If Wade was primarily concerned with the tax effect, he should give the car to his daughter and let her sell it. Conveniently, the limit on how much one can give without paying federal taxes on that gift (other than to charity), is $13,000. This means wade will pay no tax when he gifts the car to his daughter. If he sells it himself, he will need to pay tax on the gain he realizes on the sale of the car, since he will have made a profit on the sale.

His daughter, when she sells the car, will also have to recognize the gain on the sale of the vehicle. However, she is apparently in a much lower income bracket than Wade, and thus may pay even less tax on her 13,000 gain than Wade would have paid on his $3600 profit.
