Okay, first you will have to subtract every thing together:
10 - 7.75 = 2.25
2.25 - 0.47 = 1.78
So the cost of her drink is $1.78
Hope This Helps!!

Given

Elysse paid for her sandwich and drink with a $10 bill and received $0.63 in change.

The sandwich cost $7.75 and sales tax was $0.47.

Find out the  cost of her drink

To proof

Let the cost of her drink be x.

As given in the question

Elysse paid for her sandwich and drink with a $10 bill and received $0.63 in change.

Elysse paid for her sandwich and drink = 10 - 0.63

                                                                 =  $ 9.37

sandwich cost $7.75 and sales tax was $0.47

Than the equation becomes

x = 9.37 - (7.75 + 0.47)

x = 9.37 - 8.22

x = $ 1.15

The cost of the drink is $ 1.15.

Hence proved

xenn [34]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Total amount to spend = $55

Amount of food and drinks purchased = $14.25

Amount put on gaming card = $(55 - 14.25) = $40.75

Cost per game = $1.25

Number of games (g) he can play

Number of games g:

Amount put on gaming card / cost per game

= $40.75 / $1.25

= 32.6 games

g ≤ 32

Two window washers start at the heights shown. (A: 21 ft high rising 8 in per second. The other is 50 feet high descending 11inc
babunello [35]

For this case, the first thing we are going to do is write the generic equation of motion for the vertical axis.

We have then:

h = \frac {1} {2} gt ^ 2 + vo * t + h0

Where,

  • <em>g: acceleration of gravity </em>
  • <em>vo: initial speed </em>
  • <em>h0: initial height </em>

For the first body:

h1 = \frac {1} {2} gt ^ 2 + \frac {8} {12} * t + 21

For the second body:

h2 = \frac {1} {2} gt ^ 2 - \frac {11} {12} * t + 50

By the time both bodies have the same height we have:

h1 = h2\\

\frac {1} {2} gt ^ 2 + \frac {8} {12} * t + 21 = \frac {1} {2} gt ^ 2 - \frac {11} {12} * t + 50

Rewriting we have:

\frac {8} {12} * t + 21 = - \frac {11} {12} * t + 50

\frac {8} {12} * t + \frac {11} {12} * t = 50 - 21

\frac {19} {12} * t = 29

Clearing time:

t = 29 (\frac {12} {19})\\t = 18.31s

Answer:

 it takes 18.31s for the two window washers to reach the same height

PLS HELP, 50 POINTS!!!
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

Part A: From 0 to 2 seconds, the height of the water balloon increases from 60 to 75 feet, therefore the water balloon's height is increasing during the interval [0,2]

Part B: From 2 to 4 seconds, the height of the water balloon stays the same at 75 feet, therefore the water balloon's height is the same during the interval [2,4] From 10 to 12 seconds, the height of the water balloon stays the same at 0 feet, therefore the water balloon's height is the same during the interval [10,12] From 12 to 14 seconds, the height of the water balloon stays the same at 0 feet, therefore the water balloon's height is the same during the interval [12,14]

Part C: The interval, [4,6] of the domain is when the water ballon's height decreases the fastest. The interval [4,6] decreases by 35 feet. The two other intervals that decrease are [6,8] and [8,10] which both have the same slope. They decrease by 20 feet. Therefore, this helps us conclude that the interval [4,6] decreases the fastest because 35 feet is a more significant decrease than 20 feet.

Part D: I predict that the height of the water balloon at 16 seconds is 0 feet. This is because at 10-14 seconds, the water balloon's height is 0 feet. In read-world situations, if the water balloon is on the ground which is 0 feet, it stays on the ground due to gravity.

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope this helps! I also do not know if it is all correct but I did research and everything so hopefully it is correct! Good luck!
