Edgar Allan Poe believed that poetry was the "rhythmical creation of beauty" through words. Therefore, he considered poetry as an exercise in putting together beautiful elements. He demonstrates this in the poem "Annabel Lee." The poem is the last one that Poe wrote, and one of his most famous ones. In it, Poe includes the elements that he considered created a beautiful piece. He presents a beautiful, young woman: Annabel. We also learn about the love that the narrator has for her. Finally, we witness her death, and a love that lasts beyond the grave. Therefore, Poe skillfully combines several elements that he considers are beautiful.

Arada [10]

Answer:

Here Equiano describes the emotions he is feeling after finding out he is to be freed from his slavery. He feels a mix of emotions that vary wildly, and Equiano demonstrates how dramatic and revolutionary an unprecedented experience might feel. Because Equiano is telling his story in the first person, the events of the story have a more personal and intimate effect than if they were told through the lens of an outside narrator.
