The text in lines 10–12, "highway medians . . . looked like the seed-packet promises come true," provides support for which of t
aev [14]

Answer:

A "The spring of 1998 was the Halley’s Comet of desert wildflower years." (lines 1–2)

Explanation:

This is the excerpt from Barbara Kingsolver's scientific essey "Called Out". It describes events in the spring of 1998 and gives insight on magnificent and complex life cycle of desert plants.

The given sentence provides description of the highway medians suggesting that there were unusually many flowers, rarely seen before.

That provides evidence to answer A. which claims that that spring was the Halley's Comet of desert wildflower years. Halley's Comet is a rare phenomenon that happens only once every 76 years, so by making this comparison, the author claims that what happened that spring was a true botanical rarity.

Faustus turns invisible and plays pranks on the Pope. If you could turn invisible for a day, what would you seek to change about
Anna11 [10]

If I could turn invisible for a day like Faustus does, I would like to use this power in order to gain more money.

This would happen in the following way. I would go to a bank and take money without anyone seeing me and the next day I would be rich. As I will have taken the money from the bank, like it were legal, no one would notice my fraud. I would choose to pursue more money and not power or fame, because I believe that for a rich person it is easier to pursue power or fame.

Which of these things most symbolizes hope and life in the play?
Kazeer [188]
I would say that Beneatha's hair symbolizes hope and life the most is it is a symbol of not wearing it according to the mores of being assimilated into white society but wearing it naturally with its natural curls and therefore being herself and not being dictated by society.
