The suppliers need to be informed well in advance that Lean implementation needs to take place at a date in the near future.Keeping in mind the lead time of the transistors and the inventory requirement the company should place the order for the transistor ahead of 2 months time span

<u>What should Sabina do about reorganizing the work environment? Should any layout changes be made and how do you think they should be implemented? </u>

The changes in the machinery setting is going to consume a lot of time .Sabina noticed that the layout design was based on the function rather the layout should be designed on the basis of the production flow and not on the functions.By adopting to lean six sigma these functions can be implemented

<u>How would you address the issue of equipment setup? How would you proceed? </u>

<u> </u>

By Implementing  Lean Six Sigma to identify the process that is leading to excessive  wastage and then we need to evaluate  the process of  plant loading  in a uniform manner.

The  steps for a Lean Six Sigma needs to be adopted:

Step 1 – The values need to be defined jointly

Step 2 – An analysis  of the supply chain capabilities of the organization needs to be done.

Step 3 – Identification of the important financial and operational metrics

Step 4 – Understand the need for system improvement and then how it System needs  be executed

<u>Describe the organizational culture of Lean. How can Sabina promote this at Buckeye? </u>

All the  employees should be  involved(i.e the  suppliers, operations, and logistics. Also all the people need to be treated equally and with respect,.

Suppose that in a month the price of movie rentals decreases from $3.25 to $3. At the same time, the quantity of movie rental
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

The correct answer is option a.

Explanation:

The initial price of movie rentals is $3.25.

The initial quantity is 100.

The price falls to $3.

This causes demand to rise to 120.

The price elasticity of demand a ratio of change in quantity demanded to change in price level.

The elasticity is calculated at -2.25, through the process given in images.

The price elasticity of demand here is greater than 1 which means it is elastic.

So, option a is the correct answer.

A $1,000 face value bond has a coupon rate of 7 percent, a market price of $989.40, and 10 years left to maturity. Interest is p
dlinn [17]

Answer:

4.95%

Explanation:

For computing the yield to maturity when expressed in real terms, first we have to find out the yield to maturity by applying the RATE formula that is shown in the attachment

Given that,

Present value = $989.40

Future value or Face value = $1,000

PMT = 1,000 × 7% ÷ 2 = $35

NPER = 10 years × 2 = 20 years

The formula is shown below:

= Rate(NPER;PMT;-PV;FV;type)

The present value come in negative

So, after solving this,  the yield to maturity is 7.15%

Now in real terms, it would be

= 7.15% - 2.2%

= 4.95%

Zarrin [17]

Answer:

Job 301    $   11,000

Job 302   $  16,500

Job 303   $ 22,000

Explanation:

\frac{Cost\: Of \:Manufacturing \:Overhead}{Cost \:Driver}= Overhead \:Rate

To calculate the overhead rate <u>we divide the estimated overhead cost by the estimated cost driver:</u>

\frac{495,000}{900,000}= Overhead \:Rate

0.55 overhead rate

Job 301 $20,000 labor cost x 0.55 overhead rate

11,000

Job 302 $30,000 labor cost x 0.55 overhead rate

16,500

Job 303 $40,000 labor cost x 0.55 overhead rate

22,000
