Highlight evidence of magic realism.
Anna71 [15]

Answer: "Her husband emerges from the light and comes toward her, taller than the palms, walking on water"

Explanation:

Magical Realism refers to the amalgamation of magical as well as realistic elements into a story. Essentially, reality is explained by magical or fantastic concepts meaning the story is neither completely fantasy neither is it completely real.

Evidence of Magic Realism in the above is,

"Her husband emerges from the light and comes toward her, taller than the palms, walking on water"

The is magic realism because her late husband Jorge, appearing from a beam of light is not realistic but supernatural yet it happened to her as she sat on her porch.

Sonja [21]

As one of the first system of government in North America, the Iroquois constitution was the result of the Confederacy of the Five Nations, integrated by the Mohawk, Onondaga, Seneca, Oneida, and Cayuga Native American tribes. Among their many traditions, the Great Tree of Peace was one of utmost importance. The tree itself symbolized <em>the understanding and the preservation of peace among all five nations</em> (On the words of The Covenant: "The tree signifies law and the law is peace among all nations").

As for the branches, they were seen as the protection that peace offered to all the members of the Confederacy ("The branches of this tree signify shelter, giving each individual protection and security under the law. These branches are tended by those among the people who are men").

Answer is: The protection that peace offered to all the members of the Confederacy of the Five Nations.

Read the excerpt from "The Rosetta Stone.”
sladkih [1.3K]
Alright, so, let's see:

Problem Solution: Gives a problem, suggests a solution
Chronological Order: Lists events by the order they happened in time.
List form: Don't worry about this.
Comparison and Contrast: Finding similarities and differences between two said topics

Now, I can say with confidence that All are wrong except Chronological Order. Why? There are no problems to solve, it's just telling you what happened. There also aren't two things to compare similarities and differences with. List form is automatically out.

I know it's Chronological order because it says: "In 1798, Napoleon went to Egypt to protect its trade interests." Then, it says: "<span>The following year, the French bolstered their defenses by rebuilding a fort in the town of Rosetta" It is going by order of date, thus Chronological Order.

Your answer is Chronological Order.
