Answer:

The probability that the student is blond and chosen be men is 65%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A class consists of 60% men and 40% women. Blonde men compose 25% of the class, and blond women make up 20% of the class. If a student is chosen at random and is found to be a male.

To find : What is the probability that the student is blond?

Solution :

Let the probability of men is 60% P(M)=0.6

The probability of women is 40% P(W)=0.4

Let B is the person blonde makeup.

The probability of blonde men is 25% P(B/M)=0.25

The probability of blonde women is 20% P(B/W)=0.20

We have to find the probability that the student is blonde and choosen is men i.e. P(M/B)

Applying Baye's Theorem,

P(M/B)=\frac{P(B/M)\times P(M)}{P(B/M)\times P(M)+P(B/W)\times P(W)}

P(M/B)=\frac{0.25\times 0.6}{0.25\times 0.6+0.20\times 0.4}

P(M/B)=\frac{0.15}{0.15+0.08}

P(M/B)=\frac{0.15}{0.23}

P(M/B)=0.65

Therefore, The probability that the student is blond and chosen be men is 65%.

Which of the following is a radical equation? x + StartRoot 5 EndRoot = 12 x squared = 16 3 + x StartRoot 7 EndRoot = 13 7 Start
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

(8x-8)^{3/2}=64

Multiply both sides by the exponent 2/3.

8x - 8 = 64^{2/3}

Solve for the exponent.

8x-8=16

Add 8 to both sides.

8x = 16+8

8x=24

Divide 8 into both sides.

x=24/8

x=3

Step-by-step explanation:

Experiment of tossing a coin twice :

A.) Experimental outcome:

Head = H ; Tail = T ;

Head and Head = HH

Tail and Tail = TT

Head and Tail = HT

Tail and Head = TH

Number of head(s) on toss = z

C)

Experimental outcome ___number of heads(z)

HH _____________________2

TT _____________________ 0

TH _____________________ 1

HT _____________________ 1

D) the random variables defined are discrete because they are only take up integer values within a specified range

Tony writes an equation to represent the distance he walks in meters, d, in relation to the number of minutes he walks, m. d = 1
liraira [26]
Tony : d = 108m.....so Tony walks 108 meters per minute

Mark :
(10,1100),(20,2200)
slope = (2200 - 1100) / (20 - 10) = 1100/10 = 110 meters per minute

So Tony's walk speed is 2 meters per minute slower then Tony's walk speed

Is m=0.75d-2 proportional?
Bess [88]
No, a proportion will have a constant for the ratio m/d

If m = 0.75d, then ratio m/d = (0.75d)/d = 0.75

In this example, the ratio is (.75d-2)/d = 0.75 - (2/d).

Therefore, it is not proportional.
