Answer:

-2(5 p+6)/15

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you need to find a common denominator. In this case, we can use 30 as the LCM. If you don't know what that is, then the LCM is the Least Common Multiple. For example, the LCM of 2 and 3 is 6, because you can multiply a value of both 2 and 3 and get 6.

Next, you need to apply it. This is simple. let's say you have 3/2. if you need something with 30 in the denominator, you need to use this rule. "Whatever happens to the bottom, happens to the top" so, 3/2 would become 45/30, because you need to multiply 2 by 15 to get 30, you would also need to multiply the 3 by 15, to get an equivalent fraction. If you do this to the whole problem, you would get the following:

-(45/30)p + (6/30) - (30/30) + (25/30)p

Now that all of the denominators are equal, you can add and subtract, just like a normal expression. Remember that you can only add normal number with normal numbers, and p's with p's. If you do that, you would get the following:

-(20/30)p - (24/30)

However, it doesn't end there. Since both of the denominators are 30, you can put it in the same fraction. You can do this like so:

(-20 p - 24) / 30

We're almost there. 2 steps to go. Now, since all of the numerator values are negative, we can group them together, and have a negative on the outside, like so:

-(20 p + 24) / 30

Remember that if you are putting a negative on the outside, then you have to reverse all of the signs inside the expression.

Lastly, all of the numbers inside the fraction are divisible by 2, so you know what that means...

2 ( - (10 p +12) / 15 )

I tried to put this as an answer earlier, but brainly wouldn't let me. Sorry about that!

A sociologist wants to determine if the life expectancy of people in africa is less than the life expectancy of people in asia.
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

The sample statistics are attached.

First, we need to determine the hypothesis.

The null hypothesis should be: H_{o} : u_{africa} \geq u_{asia}.

The alternative hypothesis should be: H_{a}: u_{africa}

The next step is about calculating the<em> t statistics </em>based on the samples. This <em>t test </em>will give the probability value or p-value, which determines if there's enough to reject the null hypothesis. The formula we need to use to find the t-value is: t=\frac{x_{1}-x_{2}  }{\sqrt{\frac{s_{1} ^{2} }{n_{1} } +\frac{s_{2} ^{2} }{n_{2} } } }

Replacing all the values into the formula, we have:

t=\frac{52.4-58.1}{\sqrt{\frac{(7.4)^{2} }{45}+\frac{(8.8)^{2} }{35}  } } \\t=\frac{-5.7}{\sqrt{1.2+2.2} } =\frac{-5.7}{1.8} =-3.2

Therefore, the t-value is -3.2.

Now, we using a level of significance of 0.01, and a degree of freedom (df) of 34, we use the t-table to find the p-value for this results. (df = N -1; in this case, we take the smaller sample, which is 35, giving us 34 of df).

Therefore, according to the table attached, <em>the p-value is less than 0.01,</em> which is less than our level of significance. This result means that the null hypothesis is rejected. In other words, there's enough evidence to say that <em>the life expectancy of people in Africa is less than the life of expectancy of people in Asia.</em>

daser333 [38]
The metric table goes millimeters, centimeters, decimeters, meters, dekameters, hectometers, kilometers. To move up the table, move the decimal point one to the left. If you wanted to change it to centimeters, the answer would be 8,340,000. In kilometers, this is 83.4 kilometers. Hope this helps!
