1.8x + 3.1 = 2.3x + 1.9
1.8x - 2.3x = 1.9 - 3.1
-0.5x = -1.2
       x = -1.2 / -0.5
       x = 2.4 weeks

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that Students graphed the growth rate over several weeks of two plants in their classroom.

The equation of both plants are given

Plant  A: y=1.8x+3.1

Plant B:y=2.3x+1.9

Where x represents the time in weeks and y represents the heights of plants in inches.

We have to find the number of weeks will it take for both plant  to raech the same height.

Then we substitue both equations equal because the height of both plants is same.

1.8x+3.1=2.3x+1.9

1.8x+3.1-1.9=2.3x

Subtraction property of equality

1.2+1.8x=2.3x

2.3x-1.8x=1.2

By subtraction property of equality

0.5x=1.2

By division property of equality

x=\frac{1.2}{0.5}

x=2.4

Hence, it will take time for both plants to reach the same height=2.4 weeks.

A cube with a side 1 m long has been cut into cubes of a side 1 dm each. all small cubes have been put one on top of the other,
Ivenika [448]
First, we have to find how many small cubes formed by the large cube.
To find the number of small cubes, we should calculate the volume of each large cube and small cube. Equalize the volume units to dm³

Dimension of large cube
s = 1 m
s = 10 dm

Volume of large cube
v = s³
v = 10³
v = 1,000 dm³

Dimension of small cube
s = 1 dm

Volume of small cube
v = s³
v = 1³
v = 1 dm³

Second, calculate the number of small cubes formed
n = volume of large cube / volume of small cube
n = 1,000 dm³ / 1 dm³
n = 1,000
There are 1,000 small cubes.

Third, calculate the height of the structure.
The structure is formed by 1,000 cubes. Each of them is 1 dm high.
The height of the structure is
h = 1 dm × 1,000
h = 1,000 dm
h = 100 m
The height of the structure is 1,000 dm or 100 m
