Mumz [18]

Answer:

The trait is Y-linked

Explanation:

The only plausible explanation behind the inheritance pattern shown by the porcupine trait is that it is <u>Y-linked</u>.

<em><u>Y-linked traits are limited to the Y chromosome only</u></em><em>, a sex chromosome that is peculiar to only the male gender. Chromosomally, females are XX while males are XY. Hence, only the male gender has the genetic capacity to inherit the porcupine trait. This is why only the sons of Edward Lambert, and never the daughters, exhibited the trait. </em>

Some members of david's family have an autosomal recessive disease. david does not have the disease; neither do his parents, nor
Sauron [17]
A pedigree shows the genotypes of the family members
in autosomal recessive disorders, the diseased genes are inherited from the parents. For the person to get the disease both diseased genes should be there in the genotype as its a recessive disorder.
the dominant gene - H
   recessive gene    - h
for a person to get a disease, genotype should be hh, as its autosomal recessive. If the person is normal he/ she could have the genotype HH or could be Hh and thats called a carrier.
the offspring will receive one gene from the mother and one from the father

How do sodium and potassium leak channels play a role in the development of the negative membrane potential of the axolemma (pla
kirza4 [7]
The plasma membrane of axon is called axolemma. The potassium and sodium leak channels leak the sodium and potassium ions inside the cell respectively. The leak channels provide the constant movement of ions across the membrane. Potassium and sodium ions are positively charged, thus entry of positively charged ions inside the cell makes the cell more positively charged than the environment outside the cell. The environment outside the cell becomes more negatively charged. This leads in the negative membrane potential of axolemma.

Which of the following is the correct sequence, going from simplest to most complex, in the levels of structural organization of
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is option A.

Explanation:

Cellular organization is one of the characteristics of life that states that each living organism is made up cell or more than one cell, that is made up by organization of various components such as chemicals like micro molecule that form the macro molecule and these chemical level structural organization is formed together to make cells and this level of organization makes the tissue which is complex to cell but simpler to organ that is makeup of various together.

The makeup of organs is necessary as organs are the structural level that individuals facilitate the function and make up the organ system that is a complex system made up of organs that are similar in their function. The organism is the most complex of all levels.

Thus, the correct answer is option A.
