Answer:

38

Explanation:

Haploid cells contain a single set of chromosomes (i.e. only one chromosome "1", one chromosome "2", one chromosome "3", etc.).

Diploid cells contain two sets of chromosomes (i.e. two chromosomes "1", two chromosomes "2", two chromosomes "3", etc.), and each set was inherited from a different parent.

In diploid individuals, the only haploid cells are the gametes, that are produced by reducing by half the chromosome number of diploid cells in a process called gametogenesis. When a male gamete and a female gamete combine, a diploid zygote is formed, which will divide mitotically during development until an adult diploid individual is grown.

Because the haploid number is half that of diploid cells, we have to double it to obtain the diploid number. The haploid number in sphagnum moss is 19, so the diploid number is 38.

Brainliest answer for correct. Thanks
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

The correct answer is option B, Encourage people in the neighborhood to use more disposable products.

Explanation:

The best way to reduce the waste is to stop its negative impact at the source of generation. In a neighbor hood,  all the house can be considered as a source of waste generation. Thus if people are encouraged to use disposable product, it would be very easy to just collect and dump the waste without segregation. This will save time, money and effort.

Which describes the modern classification system?
Feliz [49]
The question must refer to the modern classification system in biology.

It started with the work of Linnaeus - so its early version can be called a Linnaean classification - but right now it has been expanded and changed to fit the evolutionary relationships between the species - which is the best description, i.e. the answer is "it is based on the evolutionary relationship of the species"

Mashutka [201]

The new hypotheses proposed by different scientists are often criticized by the others because these new hypotheses contradict the ideas and hypotheses that already exist. Adapting one's mind to a new hypotheses explaining a past event is often difficult when more clear hypotheses were already given earlier. Thus, the hypotheses suggesting the extinction of the dinosaurs are difficult for the scientific community to accept.
