Develop a hypothesis to explain why you think eurypterids developed legs even though they lived on the ocean floor.

I think that since it lives on the ocean floor, at the deepest of the ocean. So anyway, the fin on the Eurypterids is still necessary but not that much, since they live on the ocean floor. Their movements mostly on the ocean floor. So fin would not help them "stick" to the floor. Also there are still gravity acts on the Eurypterids and the feet would help them move faster. Hope this helps.

Ganezh [65]
It permits calcium to leave the sarcoplasmic reticulum and enter the cytosol. During muscle contraction, the binding of acetylcholine initiates an excitatory impulse, which is transmitted to the deep of the muscle via T tubules. T tubules are the invaginations of cell membranes of muscle cells (sarcolemma). When the action potential travel down the t-tubules, they change shape and allow the calcium ions to enter into the sarcoplasm from the sarcoplasmic reticulum.

Bacteria that lack fimbriae are less likely to ________.
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option- adhere to cell surfaces.

Explanation:

The bacterial fimbriae are the cellular appendages which help the bacteria to attach to a substratum. This attachment property of the fimbriae is due to the presence of a protein called adhesins.

The fimbriae are also known as the attachment pilus of the bacteria which are thinner than a flagellum. The bacteria posses many fimbriae to adhere to the surface like to receptors, another bacteria or any other substratum.

Thus, option- adhere to cell surfaces is the correct answer.

What is th advantage of this type of reproduction in paramecium?
eduard
The advantage of asexual reproduction (binary fission) in paramecium is a large number of offspring that are reproduced very fast. Large number colonies which are formed that way may survive and compete with other organisms. Another advantage is that this type of reproduction doesn’t acquire energy for finding a mate.
The advantage of sexual reproduction is that offspring reproduced sexually are different (asexually have genetically identical offspring).
