To the Principal,

                      BEAUTFICATION OF SCHOOL PREMISES

Dear Sir,

As the head girl of this school, part of my job is to make this school a conducive place for learning for everybody. One way i believe this can be achieved is by placing more emphasis on the aesthetics of the school premises.

One of the ways this can be achieved is by planting of roses, tulips and sunflowers around the school quadrangle and also by putting up beautiful graffiti of educational materials inside the classrooms.

I believe that this would enforce learning because students learn much quicker through pictures and also the planting of the flowers would make Dunes Private School stand out among other schools.

                                                           Yours Respectfully,

                                                           Amita Mehra.

Answer:

C. Revising a poem’s ideas and words

Explanation:

This question refers to Mackenzie Connellee's poem "Invitation".

There, the author counters the claim that writing poetry is easy work and gives some examples of the creative process.

In the mentioned lines, the author makes a metaphor about poetry "slopping lazily over the couch of a page" while the author has to "remove its muddy shoes and rearrange the pillows". That means that it takes some hard work and long road from the idea and raw material to the finished poem.

How does the authors use of metaphor most clearly support the central idea?
Kipish [7]

Honestly, I would guess C. The author compares grief to a wet mop to show that when the time for grieving ends, each person must let go of it on his or her own.

Twain’s use of dialect in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn contributes to the realism of the story by making the settings and character more convincing  for the readers. By adding accurate social dialects into his story, Twain depicts a truthful vision of the souther society that fits the characters' backgrounds, the time period and the location. This is no exception in the case of Huck and Jim. Jim, in this novel, is a slave who is less educated than the average person; therefore, to make his character more believable to the readers, Jim's way of speaking uses slang, shortened words and improper grammar. This can be seen in phrases like "Whar is you?", "ag'in", "sumf'n", etc.
