Most of the <u>websites</u> that are <u>transparent and reliable</u> are the ones that have the domain name <em>.edu </em>or<em> .gov</em>, which refer to websites that are educational or trustworthy.

When <u>researching</u> for an essay or a project, these types of websites are the most useful to obtain <u>credible information,</u> which would help to enrich and make a piece of writing valid.

The orchard walls are high and hard to climb, And the place death, considering who thou art, If any of my kinsmen find thee here
Verizon [17]

<em>The orchard walls are high and hard to climb, And the place death, considering who thou art, If </em><em>any</em><em> of my kinsmen find thee here.</em>

<em>Any</em> is the indefinite pronoun because it means something like "it does not matter who of my kinsmen as long as the person is one of my kinsmen" although Present Day English demands agreement as third person singular (<em>if any of you agree</em><em>s</em>) in the passage the agreement is third person plural because from the point of view of meaning [<em>any of my kinsmen</em>] can be replaced as <em>they</em>  and the verb <em>find</em> agrees with this plural idea.

Present Day British English has this kind of agreement called collective noun which grammatically can function like the pronoun <em>they</em>, for example as in <em>the committee </em><em>have</em><em> started the meeting</em>). The word <em>police</em> is another example of collective noun by taking third person plural agreement as in the sentence <em>The police </em><em>have </em><em>arrived</em>.

Let the assembly begun change into active voice
Nastasia [14]

Explanation:

Active voice is when someone does something while passive voice is when something is being done by someone. Even though these sound different, the <em>same thing</em> is happening in the story; it's just written differently.

Active: "Johnny bit into an apple."

Passive: "The apple was bit into by Johnny."

These are the same action being performed but written differently, see? With active voice, the main subject is at the beginning. With passive the main subject is at the end.

"Let the assembly began" is passive. Let's switch that around to active. We know that the assembly is beginning.

"The assembly is being let to begin!"

There's the answer.

In at least one hundred words, identify Goines's purpose in "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie," and explain how his use of satire helps the
kogti [31]

In Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, Goines tries to show the reader, in a satirical way, that some small issues are better left “asleep”. He uses imagery (irony and mockery for example), which is a figurative language, to describe and attack the bureaucracy of the United States government and ridicules the drafting system.

He uses satire as a literary device to speak about a complex subject in a more understandable way, putting out the idea of a sleeping dog which, at first, seems to be harmless because it is asleep, but then turns into a very big and dangerous problem when it is awaken.
