The discrimination can come up in any way such as demand for sexual favors, prejudiced in the recruiting process,  firing on the basis of gender, passed over for promotion, or unequal because of their gender. Some theories claimed that women were intentionally kept out from the top of the ladder so that they cannot challenge the higher social position of their male counterparts.
