Answer:

hello your question lacks some details below is the complete question

A bank of 10 machines requires regular periodic service. Machine running time and service time are both exponential. Machines run for an average of 44 minutes between service requirements, and service time averages six minutes per machine

If operators cost $15 per hour in wages and fringe benefits and machine downtime costs $75 per hour in lost production, what is the optimal number of operators for this bank of machines?

A 1

B 2

C 3

D 4

E 5

Answer : 3 operators ( c )

Explanation:

number of machines = 10

machine run time for each = 44 minutes

service time = 6 minutes

cost of each operator = $15 per hour

loss during machine down time = $75 per hour

hence the optimal number of operators

The total minutes the machine would work in a hour

= (60 - 6) * 10 = 540 minutes

assuming we assign 180 minutes to each operator then each operator would cost = 15 * 3 = $45

for three operators that would be = 45 * 3 = $135

lost inquired during down time

= 6 minutes * 10 = 60 minutes  i.e the total cost inquired per hour = $75

hence 3 operators would be an optimal number of operators because the operators would work lesser hours and more efficiently as well

A Japanese company has a bond outstanding that sells for 105.43 percent of its ¥100,000 par value. The bond has a coupon rate of
krok68 [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is 2.98% (approx.).

Explanation:

According to the scenario, the computation for the given data are as follows:

First we calculate the current value:

Current value (CV) = 100,000 × 105.43%

= 105,430

Now, Annual coupon (AC) = 100,000 × 3.4%

= 3,400

So, we can calculate the yield to maturity by using following formula:

Yield to maturity = [AC + (Face value - CV) ÷ maturity time] ÷ (Face value + CV) ÷ 2

By putting the value we get,

= [ 3,400 + (100,000 - 105,430) ÷ 16] ÷ (100,000 + 105,430) ÷ 2

= [ 3,060.625] ÷ (102,715)

= 2.98%(Approx)

garri49 [273]

Answer:

Please see answers below

Explanation:

1. Direct labor costs = wages paid to labourers

= $84,200

2. Manufacturing overhead costs = Factory rent + indirect production labor + utilities for factory + production supervisor's salary + factory insurance + depreciation on factory equipment

= $28,300 + $1,900 + $30,600 + $30,800 + $13,700 + $27,400

= $132,700

3. Prime cost = Direct labor + Direct material

= $84,200 + $35,600

= $119,800

4. Conversion cost = Direct labor + Manufacturing overhead

= $84,200 + $132,700

= $216,900

5. Total manufacturing cost = Direct labor + Direct material + Manufacturing overhead

= $84,200 + $35,600 + $132,700

= $252,500

6. Period expense = Company advertising + Depreciation for president vehicle + President's salary + Sales commission

= $20,200 + $8,190 + $61,100 + $7,530

= $97,020
