Answer:

Option C, 24 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sylvia set a treadmill for 38 minutes,

But she has run only 61% of the time, that she set.

We have to calculate 61% of 38 minutes.

= 61% × 38

\frac{61}{100} × 38

0.61 × 38

= 23.18 minutes

Sylvia ran only 23.18 minutes on treadmill, We have to give the best estimate for the number of minutes so we can say Sylvia ran 24 minutes.

I worked out that 10% of 38 minutes is 3.8 minutes, and then I multiplied by 6 to get 60%. My answer was 22.8 minutes. This is just a rough calculation, but should be close enough for this question.
My asnwer would therefore be: 24 minutes.

Less than 3 is about 10.75% and greater than 13 is about 6.18%.

To find these percents, you need to find the z-score for each value. Then, use your table to find the correct percent. Be sure to find the side above 13 when you use your chart.

For less than 3:
(3 - 7.45) / 3.6 = -1.24 = The percent below this is 0.1075

For greater than 13:
(13 - 7.45) / 3.6 = 1.54 = The percent above this is 0.0618

Mindy's dog, Rex, weighed 80 pounds a year ago. Now he weighs 92 pounds. What is the percent increase in his weight?
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

15%

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the percent increase, use the equation:

percent of increase=amount of increase

                                     original amount

The amount of increase is 92-80 = 12. The original amount of 80; this gives us

12/80 = 0.15 = 15%
