Base from the problem the doubling size of the company is one day. and it takes 48 days for the company to to be at full capacity. since the doubling rate is one day, so meaning a day before the company was full, the company is half of its capacity. so the answer is 47 days

Let

x----> the number of employees in the day 48

we know that

A geometric sequence is a sequence in which each term is found by multiplying the preceding term by the same value

so

a(n+1)=an*r

in this problem

r=2 \\ \\ a48=x

a48=a47*2\\ \\ a47=\frac{x}{2}

that means that for the day 47 the numbers of employees in a new company is at half of the full capacity

therefore

the answer is

47 days
