Answer:

B. He is trying to convince Xavier to sell the farm.

Explanation:

In the given excerpt, Xavier expresses his concerns to Kenneth about the fact his grandma left him a farm. Unlike her, who wanted to be a farmer, he doesn't. His life goals are completely different and inheriting a farm only prevents him from easily fulfilling them. Kenneth understands this and offers a solution - to sell the farm. By selling it, Xavier would no longer be bound to it and could even use the money to go to college. This would solve his problem.

Answer:

Parents cannot control their child's decisions.

Explanation:

"Bul_GO! -Gi" addresses the story of a mother who, despite being a very talented artist and wishes her son to follow in her footsteps, she does not impose anything on her. She doesn't require him to do the same as she does, but she respects the boy's individuality and allows him to make his own decisions about how he wants to run his own life. This creates a very good relationship between them, capable of making the child appreciate the mother's wishes.

Hello there,

Why did the author choose to provide this fictional account of Iqbal Masih, who was a real person? Check all that apply.

Story:

My first impression was that he was handsome. Then I thought, No, he isn't really good-looking. But he had such eyes. They were sweet and deep and they weren't afraid. He was standing at the threshold of the workroom with Hussain Khan's enormous hand gripping his arm and we were all looking at him. The fourteen of us child-slaves plus Karim, all observing another slave. He was one of the many who had come and gone over the years, but we felt that somehow, this new boy was different. He looked around at us, one by one. He was sad, of course, like anyone who has been away from home for a long time, like anyone who is little more than a slave, like anyone who can't imagine what will become of him.

Which elements keep you most interested in a fictional book? Check any that apply.
Kazeer [188]
Well, it depends on the genre of that non-fictional book. For instance, a mystery book would make the audience interested if there was an unsolved mystery included, but an adventure book, for instance, might hook the reader if it was actually based on historical events and something like the book described had actually happened. Therefore, for a fictional book, I would say all of these interest me depending on the type of book.
