By rounding to one significant figure, estimate the answer to this question: 798 divided by 8 times 41 so I know it's 800 divided

by 10=80 and 41 turns to 40 so it's 80x40 but no matter what I type in it's the wrong answer :/ just wanna make sure

Answer: Try this:

Step-by-step explanation:

798 rounded to one sig. fig. = 800.

8 is already just one sig. fig.

41 rounded to one sig fig. Is 40.

800/8x40

800/320 = 2.5.......

Rounded to one sig fig. =3

Or if you left the entire equation as is and just rounded the answer to 1 sig. fig.

798/(8x41) = 2.4329.......

rounded to one sig fig =2

Without knowing what specifically the question wants estimated to one significant figure, there could be multiple answers.

bearhunter [10]

Answer:

The inequality to determine the number of days, s, Darcie can skip crocheting and still meet her goal is:

s\leq 15

Thus, Darcie can skip a maximum of 15 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Question

Darcie wants to crochet a minimum of 3 blankets to donate to a homeless shelter. Darcie crochets at a rate of 1/15 of a blanket per day. She has 60 days until when she wants to donate the blankets, but she also wants to skip crocheting some days so she can volunteer in other ways. Write an inequality to determine the number of days, s, Darcie can skip crocheting and still meet her goal.

Given:

Darcie has a target to crochet a minimum of 3 blankets.

Rate at which Darcie crochets = \frac{1}{15} of a blanket per day.

Darcie has 60 days to crochet the blankets

To write an inequality to determine the number of days, s, Darcie can skip crocheting and still meet her goal.

Solution:

The number of days Darcie can skip crocheting is represented by s

So, number of days left for Darcie to crochet = 60-s

In 1 day Darcie crochets \frac{1}{15} of a blanket.

So, in (60-s) days she will crochet = \frac{1}{15}(60-s) blankets.

Her aim is to crochet at least 3 blankets.

Thus, the inequality can be given as:

\frac{1}{15}(60-s)\geq 3

Solving for s

Multiplying both sides by 15 to remove fractions.

15\times\frac{1}{15}(60-s)\geq 3\times 15

60-s\geq 45

Subtracting both sides by 60.

60-60-s\geq 45-60

-s\geq -15

Dividing both sides by -1.

\frac{-s}{-1}\leq \frac{-15}{-1} [ On dividing by negative number the sign of the inequality is reversed]

∴ s\leq 15

Thus, Darcie can skip a maximum of 15 days.

nataly862011 [7]

Answer: Total area 2800 sq.yards

Step-by-step explanation:

First roof

2 rectangles and 2 trangles

for rectangles area = b*h

then area of one rectangle = 20*30 = 600 sq.yards

We have 2 rectangles then 2 * 600 = 1200 s. yards

for triangles area 1/2 b*h

Then area of one triangle = 0.5* 5*20 = 50 sq.yards

We have 2 triangles then 2 * 50 = 100 sq.yards : 1300 sq.yards

Total area first roof = 1300 sq.yards

Second roof

Area of rectangle = b*h = 25*60 = 1500sq.yards

Total area second roof = 1500 sq.yards

Kelly blends coffee. She mixes brand A costing $6 per kilogram with brand B costing $8 per kilogram. How many kilograms of each
sukhopar [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x

be the kg of coffee of brand A in the mix and

y

be the kg of coffee of brand B in the mix.

The total kg must be

50

.

x

+

y

=

50

The cost per kg of the mix must br

$

7.20

. For this, the total cost of the mix will be

6

x

+

8

y

, so the total cost per kg of the mix will be

6

x

+

8

y

50

.

6

x

+

8

y

50

=

7.20

Now that we have our two equations, we can solve.

6

x

+

8

y

=

7.20

⋅

50

6

x

+

8

y

=

360

From the first equation, we can multiply both sides by

6

to get:

6

x

+

6

y

=

300

Subtracting, we get:

2

y

=

60

y

=

30

Thus, we need

30

kg of brand B in our mix. This means that

50

−

30

=

20

kg will be of brand A.

I round to 900 I have twice as many hundreds as ones and all my digits are different but their sums are 18 can someone answer th
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The number of once is 9.1

The number of hundreds is 8.9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The total of digits having ones and hundreds = 900

The sum of digits = 18

Let The number of ones digit = O

And The number of hundreds digit = H

So, According to question

H + O = 18 .........1

100 × H + 1 × O = 900 ........2

Solving the equation

( 100 × H - H ) + ( O - O ) = 900 - 18

Or, 99 H + 0 = 882

Or , 99 H = 882

∴   H = \frac{882}{99}

I.e H = 8.9

Put the value of H in eq 1

So, O = 18 - H

I.e O = 18 - 8.9

∴ O = 9.1

So, number of once = 9.1

number of hundreds = 8.9

Hence The number of once is 9.1 and The number of hundreds is 8.9

Draw the DE ray away from the BAC angle is the next step to copy the BAC angle

Further explanation

Angles can be formed from two ray lines that have the same starting point

Commonly used terms include foot angle, corner point, and angle size

The magnitude of the angle is usually expressed in degrees

Naming angles can be with one letter according to the vertex or with three letters with the vertex placed between two other letters

There are several steps used to copy the BAC angle:

  • 1. Draw the DE line
  • 2. Draw a circle using the circle tool with center A. The circle will intersect the lines BA and BC at points F and G
  • 3. Use the segment tool to create a segment from the circle radius that has been created
  • 4. Use the Compass tool and select the segment from the AG radius
  • 5. Make a circle with center point D, with the same radius as AG
  • 6. Mark the intersection of the circle with the intersection of the DE as H
  • 7. Create the FG segment, and use the compass tool to select the FG segment
  • 8. Create a circle with center H, which will intersect the circle with center D earlier at the point I
  • 9. Draw the DI line

Then the BAC is congruent to the HDI
