Your company will replace the asphalt roofs on all the buildings at the factory complex shown below. The buildings have flat roo

fs. You charge according to the total roof area. What is this area, in square yards? Two roofs. The first consists of two rectangles and two triangles. The rectangles measure 20 yards by 30 yards. The triangles measure 5 yards by 20 yards. The second roof is a rectangle measuring 25 yards by 60 yards.

Answer: Total area  2800 sq.yards

Step-by-step explanation:

First roof

2 rectangles       and      2    trangles

for rectangles area = b*h

then area of one rectangle = 20*30  = 600 sq.yards

We have 2 rectangles then  2 * 600 = 1200 s. yards

for triangles area 1/2 b*h

Then area of one triangle   = 0.5* 5*20  = 50 sq.yards

We have 2 triangles  then 2 * 50  = 100 sq.yards : 1300 sq.yards

Total area first roof  = 1300 sq.yards

Second roof

Area of rectangle = b*h       = 25*60   =  1500sq.yards

Total area second roof  = 1500 sq.yards

kadeem and quinn both drive 25 miles. Kadeem drives at a constant speed of 50 miles an hour. Quinn drives at a constant speed of
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Kadeem will take 0.166 h more to complete the course.

Step-by-step explanation:

The speed is the rate at which the distance changes, when the speed goes up the distance changes more quickly, therefore if the distance is the same and the speed is higher the one who will take longer is the one that has less speed. In this case the one who will take longer to drive the 25 miles is Kadeem, since he's driving at 50 mph. In order to calculate how much longer we need to calculate the time at which each of them complete the course, this is shown below:

time = distance/speed

For Kadeem:

time = 25/50 = 0.5 h

For Quinn:

time = 25/75 = 0.334 h

The difference between the is 0.5 - 0.334 = 0.166 h.

The measure of the vertex angle in an isosceles triangle is six less than four time the measure of the base angle. find the meas
blagie [28]
An isosceles triangle is a special type of triangle that has two equal sides. Consequently, the two base angles are also equal. Since the interior angles of a triangle should sum up to 180°, the general equation should be

180° = 2*Base angle + Vertex angle

Let the base angle be x. Thus, the vertex angle is equal to
Vertex angle = 4x - 6
Substituting,
180 = 2x + 4x - 6
x = 31°

Vertex angle = 4(31°) - 6
Vertex angle = 118°
