A high school diploma is important to one's future. It is important because it proves one was willing to work hard to attain a high school education, and without one, it may potentially be difficult to obtain a job. Without a job, it hard to make enough money for a more than adequate life, as most people dream of. Another way a high school diploma is important to one's future is it allows them to further his or her education. High school diplomas look good to colleges and raise one's chances of getting accepted. In order to get into college, one just needs a G.E.D. or a General Education Diploma. High school and high school diplomas are very important to one's future because they help shape the outcome and help set up the amount of success that person will have. College is not for everyone. Why? Some people are just not right for college, or some people prefer to skip college and get a not so good job. Some people can have attacks from being around people all the time, so those people are not right for college. Some people are not willing to learn much longer, so college is not for those kinds of people. Also, people have to have good grades from high school to go to a good college. Some people have bad grades, explaining the point. College is just not for everyone.

convey the main character’s chaotic mental state

Explanation:

This is a way that the writer shows us a complex connection of the many, many pieces around that make a living, complicated whole that we are not supposed to understand, but perceive as confusing and beyond our grasp. This is also a way to show the mind of the character: <em>"[...]and a thousand parts too small or two complex or too divorced from their origin or context or too specialized and thus identifiable only by their creator"</em>

Read the sentence.
Papessa [141]

Answer:

The correct answer is "two-thirds".

Explanation:

In English, we use "hyphen" (punctuation mark) to join two or more words. These should not be confused with "dashes", who are a longer punctuation mark and have other uses like separate explanatory phrases.

Hyphens are used to join words or terms to avoid confusions and they are written with no space between them and the words. In some cases, they are used to preserve the text's clarity: when adding a prefix (great-grandmother) or when the final and initial letters coincide (co-operate).

In this specific case, "two-thirds" is a fraction, so the hyphens are used to let know the relation between these two words instead of reading them as separated numbers.
