Consider the following method, which is intended to return an array of integers that contains the elements of the parameter arr
Gennadij [26K]

Code:

public static int[] reverse(int [] arr){

Int [] newArr = new int[arr.length];

for (int k = 0; k<arr.length;k++){

/*Missing statement */

}

return newArr;

Answer:

Replace the comment with:

newArr[k] = arr[arr.length-k];

Explanation:

Required

Complete the code

In the given code:

The first line of the given code defines the method

public static int[] reverse(int [] arr){

The next line declares array newArr withe same length as array arr

Int [] newArr = new int[arr.length];

The next line iterates through the elements of array arr

for (int k = 0; k<arr.length;k++){

The /* Missing statement */ is then replaced with:

newArr[k] = arr[arr.length-k];

The above statement gets the elements of array arr in reversed order.

This is so because, as the iteration iterates through array arr in ascending order, arr.length-k gets the element in reversed order

Which of the following will you select as X in the following series of clicks to lay the title over a chart: Chart Title box &gt
guapka [62]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

We are to lay a title over a chart, which means the position of the title should be above the chart.

When doing this, it will centre the title over the chart without duly interfering with the original size of the chart.

The option 'over chart' is incorrect as it is not a valid selection in the pane. Below chart as well is incorrect as we are to lay the title above the chart.

Write a function that implements another stack function, peek. Peek returns the value of the first element on the stack without
devlian [24]

Answer:

See explaination

Explanation:

StackExample.java

public class StackExample<T> {

private final static int DEFAULT_CAPACITY = 100;

private int top;

private T[] stack = (T[])(new Object[DEFAULT_CAPACITY]);

/**

* Returns a reference to the element at the top of this stack.

* The element is not removed from the stack.

* atreturn element on top of stack

* atthrows EmptyCollectionException if stack is empty

*/

public T peek() throws EmptyCollectionException

{

if (isEmpty())

throw new EmptyCollectionException("stack");

return stack[top-1];

}

/**

* Returns true if this stack is empty and false otherwise.

* atreturn true if this stack is empty

*/

public boolean isEmpty()

{

return top < 0;

}

}

//please replace "at" with the at symbol

Note:

peek() method will always pick the first element from stack. While calling peek() method when stack is empty then it will throw stack underflow error. Since peek() method will always look for first element ffrom stack there is no chance for overflow of stack. So overflow error checking is not required. In above program we handled underflow error in peek() method by checking whether stack is an empty or not.
