The correct answers are A. Audience, B. Purpose, and C. Tone

Explanation:

The word diction refers to the election or words and the use of these during a text or speech, which is also linked to the style of an author. This election and use of words is unique in each author and varies according to multiple factors including the audience as the author of a text or speech selects the words according to the age, education and social contexts of this; the purpose as the use of language changes if the author wants to inform, explain, persuade or narrate; and the tone, which is the attitude of the author towards the subject he is writing about, for example a positive attitude will lead to the election of positive adjectives and words to refer to the main subject of the text. This also means by understanding the diction the reader can understand better other elements in the text. Thus, it can be concluded the diction gives us clues into the author's audience, purpose and tone as each of these elements influence the election and use of language by the author.

In one hundred words or more, connect your experiences at school to Panchito's experiences.
jonny [76]

Answer:

"The Circuit" by author Francisco Jimenez, tells the story of Panchito and his experiences on a new country, having to deal with learning a second language and adapting to a new culture and environment. Even if you had not been in a similar situation as Panchito, you could connect his stories to your personal experiences at school in many ways. Maybe, the first classes of spanish or french were difficult to you as you could not understand all the words the teacher was saying, but as you were learning things were easier for you. Or you can connect Panchito's experiences by writing about that time in school you were not afraid of asking for help when you had to deal with a difficult situation.

What text evidence can readers use to infer that the last firebrand belongs to Nou, even before his name is called? Use at least
Paul [167]

Answer:

There are two sections of the story that lend credence to the fact that Nous firebrand was the last one to be thrown during the Chief's visit.

  1. The third sentence in the third paragraph indicates that they took turns and that Nous turn came last because, after Nous turn, there was no other mention of any other throw.  This means that all the other older warriors that thrown their flames before Nou.
  2. The third and fourth sentences in paragraph 4 state that everyone was happy except the older fire throwers because Nou had made them look weak and foolish.

This corroborates the evidence from the third paragraph that they had thrown their fires first and Nous fire went last.

Cheers!
