If a competitor is coming on strong in the market, there are a few things you can do to make sure your product stays in consumers minds. First, reach out to those who are loyal to your product and see how they feel about your product and brand. When reaching out to those who are loyal, it shows that you care about them and value them as a consumer. Also, you can increase your budget or focus advertising in other areas. If you see your new competitor focused on a certain demographic, try to focus your marketing efforts there too, to see if there are people you are missing with your current marketing efforts.

Olenka [21]

Full Question:

Suppose it is discovered that the first zurvanites were influenced more by indian than by babylonian conceptions of cyclical time. does this discovery support the author's argument?

A: The author does not claim that Zoroaster was the first to proclaim the end of history, just that this claim was one of the “most striking elements” in his teaching (lines 27-29). This discovery would not be inconsistent with the passage.

B: The author suggests that the Zurvanite conception of time as a sentient being was based in Babylonian speculations that time is cyclical, and so unending (lines 29-35). An early Zurvanite denial that history has an end (i.e., a claim that history and time do not end) would strengthen, not weaken the author’s argument.

C: The author very strongly argues that the Zurvanites committed “a deep and grievous heresy” by claiming that the two primal beings were brothers (lines 52-56). If Zoroaster himself made this claim, the Zurvanites would not in fact have “betrayed Zoroaster’s fundamental doctrine.”

D: The author does not argue that Zoroaster had no premonitory inkling of what heresies were to come. This discovery would have no effect on the author’s position.

Answer:

Yes. The author very strongly argues that the Zurvanites committed “a deep and grievous heresy” by claiming that the two primal beings were brothers (lines 52-56). If Zoroaster himself made this claim, the Zurvanites would not in fact have “betrayed Zoroaster’s fundamental doctrine.”

Cheers!

A country has a noninstitutionalized population of 243 million people. out of that number, 38 million are under the age of 16 70
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

The answer is 60%

Explanation:

Labor force is the total number of people that have job(employed) and the number of people who are willing, able and actively searching for job(unemployed) in a population.

Labor force participation rate is calculated by dividing the labor force by the noninstitutionalized population.

Labor force = employed + underemployed + unemployed

= 96 + 31 + 8

=135 million

So we have:

(135 ÷ 243) x 100 percent.

60% (the nearest whole percentage)

Sloan [31]

Answer:

$532,000

Explanation:

The opportunity cost is the cost of the best option rejected.

In this case the option rejected was the investment project that would have returned a total fo 532,000

Therefore, the model 240 should produce a higher profit than 532,000 to reject his project.

The 310 model would have unused capacity as it has more capacity than model 240 but the company will not need to produce as much. So it is discarted from the calculation as it has inefficiency

alex41 [277]

Answer:

The below additional piece of information is missing from the question:

In its 2018 income statement, what amount of interest expense should Hernandez report from this lease transaction?

The interest expense for 2018 is $150,000

Explanation:

Interest expense for 2018 is the implicit interest 10% multiplied by the difference present value of $1,800,000 minus annual payment of $300,000.

In order to compute the interest expense, the annual payment must be deducted first since the annual payment was made at the start of the year, hence interest is only due on the net amount of $1,500,000($1,800,000-$300,000).

Interest expense=$1,500,000*10%=$150,000

Depreciation Methods On January 2, 2018, Skyler, Inc. purchased a laser cutting machine to be used in the fabrication of a part
crimeas [40]

Answer:

Instructions are listed below.

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

The machine cost $120,000, and its estimated useful life was four years or 920,000 cuttings, after which it could sell for $5,000.

Each method has a different formula. In the straight-line depreciation, each year's depreciation expense is the same. On the other hand, double-declining balance depreciation expense declines with the years. While the units of production method, depreciation expense varies according to use.

A) Straight-line:

Annual depreciation= (original cost - salvage value)/estimated life (years)

Annual depreciation= (120,000 - 5,000)/4= $28,750 per year

B) Double declining balance:

Annual depreciation= 2*[(book value)/estimated life (years)]

Year 1= 2*(115,000/4)= 57,500

Year 2= 2*[(115,000 - 57,500)/4]= 28,750

Year 3= 2*[(57,500 - 28,750)/4]= 14,375

Year 4= 2*[(28,750 - 14,375)/4]= 7,187.5

C) Units of production:

Annual depreciation= [(original cost - salvage value)/useful life of production in units]*units produced

Year 1= [(115,000)/920,000]*200,000= $25,000

Year 2= (0.125)*350,000= 43,750

Year 3= 0.125*260,000= $32,500

Year 4= 0.125*110,000= $13,750
