The correct answer is: The competition between the Soviet Union and the United States in the Cold War moved into space to show who would arrive first. In 1957, the Soviets were the first to send an artificial satellite into space, the Sputnik I, something that in the United States could not be believed. A short time later the Soviets sent Yuri Gagarin. Finally, in 1969 the United States launches the Apollo 11 with the human being that reached the surface of the moon and it was it was Neil Armstrong, who put the first foot on the lunar surface.

This space race needed too many resources and several astronauts lost their lives.

asambeis [7]

Answer:

How should one live?

Explanation:

The options for this question are missing. The options are:

What have I been taught to do?

How should one live?

What are the laws of my society?

Whom can one trust?

Socrates was a Greek philosopher who lived around 470 B.C  in Athens, he is considered the father of many subjects, Ethics being one of them.

Socrates never wrote a book but we know more about him and his thought thanks to Plato who wrote books in which he recreated the conversations his teacher would have with people in Athens.

The core question of his philosophy was "What ought one to do?", according to him if a person knows what is good, then the person will always do what is good.  Thus, the goal of his philosophy was the pursuit of knowing what was good in order to live a good life. Thus, the key ethical question of him was "How should one live?" because a person who act in a good way would have a good better life than someone who didn't do this.

Why are some of President Lincoln’s ideas considered contradictory?
Liula [17]

Answer:

Some of President Lincoln's ideas have been considered contradictory because, during his presidency, he made many decisions that were different from what he had previously expressed on the subject.

Thus, for example, although during his discussions with Senator Douglas, Lincoln defended a gradual limitation to slavery in the country, he flatly refused to be abolitionist; but in 1863, through his Emancipation Proclamation, he abolished slavery in the territory of the United States.

To understand these contradictions, we must take into account the greatness of President Lincoln as president and as a human being. Without a doubt, it was a president who tried to maintain the unity of America as a nation, and made decisions that he did not ideologically share but understood necessary to maintain that union.
