Mrs. Flowers is the ideal good example for Maya. Ms. Flowers is the "privileged person" of dark Stamps, she is a thoughtful lady who energizes Maya's adoration for writing, and furthermore encourages Maya to break out of her muteness. Maya views her as the apex of mankind. Maya discovers Ms. Flowers a one of a kind good example. She is a dark lady who declines to curve to the generalizations set upon dark ladies at the time. Maya discovers Ms. Flowers to be savvy, mindful, pleased and true.

How is the word choice regarding the parents’ surname significant in sleeping
Svetach [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

Winter symbolizes cold, still, fruitless time of no change, when things aren't born, renewed, or changed.

By naming the two characters, Mr. and Mrs. Winter by this season, the writer symbolizes the coldness and childlessness in their life. It seems that they lost the child, but they approached the grief from the calculated, rational point - not acknowledging the loss and emotions, and continuing to act rationally on the outside as if nothing is happening.

This can be connected to the coldness and stillness of the winter, the snow that covers all the flora and vegetation, and seems to last forever in the icy embrace.

Compare breton’s portrayal of his wife in this poem to how spenser and shakespeare portray their loves in their sonnets. what cu
Lera25 [3.4K]
Probably a little too late, but "Brenton's poem includes the expected comparisons to the beauty of his wife's hair and mouth, but he goes beyond praising mere physical beauty to create a comparison about her thoughts. Brenton's poem reveals a modern outlook with his inclusion of less expected parts: her eyelashes, brows, and waist. Both Shakespeare and Spenser stick to the usual body parts: hair, eyes, cheeks, and breast. All express their love, but Shakespeare portrays his loved one as a "real" woman, not a perfect woman. Brenton's wife seems more real than Spenser's, who is idealized the most with rich comparisons like gold, rubies, and pearls. Brenton's poem also uses more modern and unexpected comparison: "the waist of an otter," "teeth like the tracks of white mice on the white earth," "shoulders of champagne." His images are more vivid because they are less familiar.

(Help!!!) You have read the poem"the cold within"and the short story"the interlopers", about men who struggle to overcome person
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

James Patrick Kinney´s "the cold within"and Saki´s "the interlopers" essay:

"Men are all created equal, and but their end may not."

Explanation:

Men are all created equal, but their end may not. During childhood, every one has been tought or should have been tought that all men were created equal, but the way of lives are going to end, involves a mistery which is posed in this poem "the cold within" and this short story "the interlopers", first introduced by misterious backgrounds: "Their dying fire in need of logs", and "In a forest of mixed growth somewhere on the eastern spurs of the Carpathians", both splattering our moods with "In bleak and bitter cold", and "...scandals had embittered the relationships between the families for three generations", preparing us for the struggle as none of them feel equal, in the poem there were 6 very different men: "six humans trapped by happenstance", and "The neighbor feud had grown into a personal one since Ulrich had come to be head of his family; if there was a man in the world whom he detested and wished ill to, it was Georg Znaeym, the inheritor of the quarrel and the tireless game snatcher and raider of the disputed border forest". None of them in either stories would want to be together as each had resentments toward each other: racist resentments: "She noticed one was black"; religious resentments: "Saw one not of his church"; social status resentments: "From the lazy, shiftless poor"; and family enherited resentments: " as boys they had thirsted for one another’s blood, as men each prayed that misfortune might fall on the other, and this windscourged winter night Ulrich had banded together his foresters to watch the dark forest, not in quest of four-footed quarry, but to keep a lookout for the prowling thieves whom he suspected of being afoot from across the land boundary". Both authors exhibit how life can set a common death to those people who never believed that men were all created equal, and teach them this lesson in the end of their lives: "Their logs held tight in death’s still hands Was proof of human sin. They did not die from the cold without They died from the cold within".; "“Then they are yours,” said Georg; “I had only seven out with me.” “They are making all the speed they can, brave lads,” said Ulrich gladly. “Are they your men?” asked Georg. “Are they your men?” he repeated impatiently, as Ulrich did not answer. “No,” said Ulrich with a laugh, the idiotic chattering laugh of a man unstrung with hideous fear. “Who are they?” asked Georg quickly, straining his eyes to see what the other would gladly not have seen. “Wolves.”

Which of the following is least likely to be the purpose of descriptive writing
Lynna [10]
I would say the least likely purpose of descriptive writing would be to entertain readers since i think of description as being recounting how things are at the moment so could explain historical events or by describing a scene of devastation could call people to action, for example.
