After releasing this information, the general smiles and states that he is also a Cossack. With this, the general uses the characterization of Ivan for him, in parts. He shows that despite being a cultured and well-educated man, he belongs to the same race as Ivan, which makes him a wild man, inside. This is proven throughout history.
