When fashion fair cosmetics offers marketing assistance to resellers that buy its products, the promotional technique used is called the Push Sales Strategy. It is a technique where the manufacturers would "push" the products to the market by the supply chain to the consumer. These manufacturers are termed as wholesalers while the bridge to the consumers are called the retailers. With this type of strategy, incentives are being given to the retailers to motivate them of purchasing. Incentives can be discounts, premiums, buy-back guarantees and services like from the statement, marketing assistance. The other strategy is called the pull sales strategy where the manufacturer would make the consumers interested in their products.

anzhelika [568]

The part of the combined price allocated to the product is less than 50% which might be around 35-40%.

<u>Explanation:</u>

Since the price of the product all alone is $450 and the price of the service alone is $550, so the combined amount totals up to be nothing less than $1000. But the company under the discount and offer, offers the both things combined for $800.

This shows that the company is under some loss which it has to incur. The loss is of $200 under the discount to be offered to the clients which serves as the incentive to the customers.

ruslelena [56]

Answer:

See answers below

Explanation:

a. Direct materials & supplies  $40,000 = $40,000 × 110%

= $44,000 × 20,000/25,000

= $35,200

Employee costs = $2,900,000 × 105%

Fixed overhead = $700,000 × 105%

For 2019, Bargain Basement Stores reported $11,500 of sales and $5,000 of operating costs (including depreciation). The company
Kamila [148]

Answer:

Economic Value Added (EVA) = $2,620

Explanation:

WACC = 11%

Capital = $20,500

Sales = $11,500

Operating cost = $5,000

Tax rate = 25%

EBIT = Sales - Operating cost

EBIT = $11,500 - $5,000

EBIT = $6,500

Economic Value Added (EVA) = EBIT (1 - T) - (WACC * Capital)

Economic Value Added (EVA) = 6,500*( 1 - 0.25) - (0.11 * $20,500)

Economic Value Added (EVA) = $4,875 - $2,255

Economic Value Added (EVA) = $2,620
