X = <span>weight of the baby.
y = </span>weight of the doctor.
z = weight of the nurse.

x + y = 78 so y = 78 - x
x + z = 69 so z = 69 - x
x + y + z = 142

substitute y = 78 - x and z = 69 - x into x + y + z = 142

x + y + z = 142
x +78 - x + 69 - x = 142
-x + 147 = 142
-x = - 5
 x = 5

Let the weight of the baby be B
<span>weight of the Nurse be N </span>
<span>weight of the Doctor be D

Now if we fit those into equations we have:

1. B+D= 78
2. B+N= 69
3. B+D+N= 142

Now take 1 and 3:

B+D= 78 so substitute 78 in the thrid equation were B+D is
78+N= 142 ( what plus 78 will get you 142)
78+64= 142

The nurse's weight is 64 kg

Now that we have the nurses weight. You take the combined weight of the baby and nurse and subtract 64

The baby weighs 5kg

now take the doctors and babies combine weight and subtract 4

The Doctor weighs 73 kg

ANSWER:

The baby weighs 5kg, the nurse weighs 64, and the doctor weighs 74.

Sorry for the long answer but hope this helps.

The volume of a large can of tuna fish can be calculated using the formula V= πr(r)h. Write an equation to find the radius, r, i
noname [10]

The equation r=\sqrt\frac{V}{3.14h} can be used to find the radius.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Volume of large can;

V=πr(r)h

V=πr²h

Dividing both sides by πh

\frac{V}{\pi h}=\frac{r^2\pi h}{\pi h}\\\\\frac{V}{\pi h}=r^2\\\\r^2=\frac{V}{\pi h}

Taking square root on both sides

\sqrt{r^2}=\sqrt{\frac{V}{\pi h}}\\r=\sqrt\frac{V}{\pi h}

Putting π=3.14

r=\sqrt\frac{V}{3.14h}

The equation r=\sqrt\frac{V}{3.14h} can be used to find the radius.

If each term in the sum a1+a2+a3+...+an is either 7 or 77 and the sum equals 350, which of the following could be equal to n?A.
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

C. 40

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us say there are x 7's and y 77's.

We have been given that each term in the sum a1+a2+a3+...+an is either 7 or 77 and the sum equals 350. We are asked to find the value of n.

Since the sum of all numbers is 350, so we can represent this information in an equation as:

7x+77y=350

The only integer solutions for the equation 7x+77y=350 are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 .

So, there can be these many terms: 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 .

The given option only contains 40, so 40 would be the answer. For 40 terms to be there, there has to be 39 sevens and 1 seventy-seven.

Let us verify our answer.

7x+77y=350

7(39)+77(1)=350

273+77=350

350=350

Therefore, the total terms (n) could be equal to 40 and option C is the correct choice.
