Take two points and find the slope.
(4,9) (6,13)
y2-y1/x2-x1
4/2=2=m
y=2x+b
9=8+1
b+1
y=2x+1
Set x to 10 to find the 10th week
y=20+1
21 miles
Set y=26.3 to find which week.
26.3=2x+1
2x=25.3
x=12.6 weeks or round to 13 weeks
I think he should round up because in more slopes in between points, there is a lesser slope than 2.
Hope this helps.

One way is to type it into your trusty TI and use the table from presing stat and then stat againg then calc then 4
so the equation that I got from your set of points is y=1.983333333333333x+0.80555555555

Determine the term life insurance amount per thousand on a 20-year-old male for a 10-year policy given that the face value of the policy is $65,000 and the annual premium is $291.85.

a.

$0.00449

c.

$0.2227

b.

$4.49

d.

$222.72

First find how many thousands on the amount of the face value

You do that by dividing the amount of the face value by 1000

65,000÷1,000=65

So the term life insurance amount per thousand is

291.85÷65=4.49...answer

When you divide a whole number by a decimal less than 1, the quotient is greater than the whole number. why?
Viktor [21]
Well if you get back to the definition of a division, diving X by Y is finding out how many Ys you can have in a X.

It is clear that you will have more than X times Y if Y is less than 1 since dividing X by 1 is exactly X.

If you think of 10 and 1, you can divide 10 in exactly 10 portions of 1.
But you can divide it into 100 portions of 0,1.
And 100 is bigger than 10 of course.
Hope this helps.

Question and answer choices are in the screenshot. THANK YOU!!
Anika [276]
I 11 x - 22 I > 22
∴ 11x-22 > 22          OR          (11x -22) < -22
∴ 11 x > 44             ::::::::          11x - 22 < -22
    x > 4                   ::::::::              x < 0

∴ x ∈ ( -∞ , 0 ) ∪ ( 4 , ∞)
∴ The correct choice is number 1

Katarina [22]

Given:

Paco's cell phone carrier charges him $0.20 for each text message he sends or receives, $0.15 per minute for calls, and a $15 monthly service fee. Paco is trying to keep his bill for the month below $30.

To Find:

The number of texts 't' Paco can send/receive in a month.

Answer:

0\leq t

best describes the number of texts he can send or receive to keep his bill less than $30 in a month.

Step-by-step explanation:

Paco wants to keep is monthly bill below $30.

We see that he has to pay a foxed monthly service fee of $15. This means he is only left with a limit of $30 - $15 = $15 for his monthly calls and texts.

That is, the amount he has to pay for texting and calling has to be less than $15.

For texts, the cell phone carrier charges $0.20 for sending/receiving texts.

For calls, he is charged $0.15 per minute.

Let the number of text messages Paco can send or receive in a month be denoted by 't'.

Let the number of minutes Paco can call in a month be denoted by 'c'.

Then, the total cost of text messages he can send or receive per month would be 0.20t and the total cost of the minutes he spends on calls would be 0.15c. Together, the sum of these has to be less than $15 if his monthly bill has to be kept less than $30 (accounting for the monthly service fee).

So,

0.20t+0.15c

The number of texts he can send will dpend on the number of minutes he spends on his calls. For Paco to spend maximum number of texts, he has to spend 0 minutes on calls.

So, putting c = 0, the aboce equation can be written as

0.20t+0

That is, Paco has to send and receive less than 75 texts.

So,

0\leq t

best describes the number of texts he can send or receive to keep his bill less than $30 in a month.
