b) Identify the independent variable. : The independent variable is the one which can be changed or manipulated in an experiment the effect of which can be observed on a dependent variable. Independent variable is necessary for the experiment.

d) Address any confounding variables.  A confounding variable is the one which comes from the outside the changes caused by this variable exert an influence over the dependent and independent variables. This variable can bring change in the outcome of the experiment.

e) Form a non-falsifiable hypothesis.: A non-falsifiable hypothesis is the one which can be proved true on the basis of implementation of suitable methodology and research design.
