I found the attached image on the internet and it really helps complete this exercise.

First question:
In the presence of an enzyme, the course of the reaction is shown by the red curve. The necessary energy to make a reaction occur is less when there is an enzyme to help the reaction happen. Enzymes work as catalysts that act over substrates converting them into different molecules in a much accelerated way then it would happen without the enzyme's help, if it would happen at all.

Second question:
The activation energy is represented by line B. The activation energy is the energy needed to be available for a reaction to happen. If we compare it with line A, which represents the activation energy necessary for a reaction without an enzyme, we can see how much less energy is necessary to dispend when an enzyme is part of the reaction. Line C represents the energy resultant from the reaction.

KIM [24]

Answer: The video shows the plant reacting to external stimuli. Humans also react to many types of external stimuli. If someone touches us when we’re not expecting it, we jump. If we put a hand on something hot, we snatch it away. When it’s cold outside, our bodies shiver and our skin turns cold. When we walk into the sunlight after being in the shade, we tend to close our eyes or squint.

Nonrandom mating tends to _______ the frequencies of ______ genotypes. increase; homozygous decrease; homozygous increase; heter
Solnce55 [7]
The answer depends of the kind of non-randommating. If the non-random mating is the kind of positive assortative mating then it tends to increase the frequencies of homozygous genotypes. Positive assortative mating when individuals mate with other individuals like themselves. If the non-random mating is the kind of negative assortative mating, then the effect is the opposite as of the positive assortative mating, this is it tends to decrease the homozygous genotypes.

slava [35]
To find the number of trees per hectare, simply divide the two figures together. 11,025 (the number of trees) divided by 3,150 (the number of overall hectares in the plot of land) gives a value of 3.5 trees per hectare.

Suppose a one-year old child is playing with a toy near an electrical out-let. He sticks part of the toy into the outlet. He get
Papessa [141]

Answer:

UCS: sticks part of the toy into the electrical outlet

UCR: frightened and crying

CS: toy

CR: frightened to toy

Explanation:

Classical conditioning is a form of learning whereby a conditioned stimulus becomes associated with an unrelated unconditioned stimulus, in order to produce a behavioral response known as a conditioned response.

Unconditioned stimulus (UCS) is an agent that leads to a response without training. In this example, the child won't know that he can have electrical shock playing with toys.

Unconditioned response (UCR) is an automatic response to a UCS that's why the child starts crying and frightened.

Conditioned stimulus (CS) is a former natural stimulus that comes to elicit a given response after pairing with a UCS. In this situation, CS is when mom gives the same toys to the baby that was the reason for electrical shock.

Conditioned response (CR) is a learned response to a CS because the baby shows fear when he saw the same toys. It is his learned behavior.

How do the main sequence stages of these two sizes of stars differ?
xxTIMURxx [149]
Stellar evolution is the process by which a star undergoes a sequence of radical changes during its lifetime. Depending on the mass of the star, this lifetime ranges from only a few million years (for the most massive) to trillions of years (for the less massive), considerably more than the age of the universe. ^

Small, relatively cold, low mass red dwarfs burn hydrogen slowly and will burn for hundreds of billions of years

Massive hot supergiants will live for just a few million years.

A mid-sized star like the Sun will remain on the main sequence for about 10 billion years. Hope tis helps!!
