Is busing a reasonable method of serving students from diverse backgrounds?
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

Yes the statement is True.

Explanation:

Busing is no doubt a reasonable method of serving students from diverse backgrounds.

In the early America, people from low socioeconomic backgrounds were not given equal opportunities to Educations and Work. But after several years of struggle from socialites, the court ordered to bring equal opportunities for every person living in the country. So to do it practically, court ordered to start many programs, in which of them was to start a bus service which later termed as busing, which would carry students from low socioeconomic backgrounds to the schools which they cannot think or afford to attend. This was all done to put the racial diversity in balance.

Which of the three components of Donald Noel's (1968) "Noel Hypothesis" do you think is most significant in leading to some type
Kay [80]

Out of three conditions that Donald Noel suggest in "Noel Hypothesis", which are ethnocentrism, competition and the differential in power ethnic or racial, I think the most important is competition. Human beings create ranks in ethnic groups by competing. For example when Irish came to America (1820-1860), they competed with other group to gain positions in society and some of them followed the bad way creating the Irish mob and some entered the police force which gave this group a better status then the Italian mob overcome the Irish mob. It is just an example of how ethnic groups compete to survive and society moves into stratification.

I think there is power and inequality between groups and this leads to prejudice and discrimination. The groups that are suffering more are vulnerable groups like women, elderly and children. Here is Peru there is a great problem with women being killed. It is insane but the number of these cases is going up every year. When women go to the police station do denounce their partners, police officers don't pay them attention to what they say and in many cases they don't do anything. Most of the time women are killed by their partners in Peru. Women are afraid to denounce their partners too.

How can in interest group put pressure on Congress and Bureaucrats in order to have their policies enacted?
ale4655 [162]

Interest groups can put pressure  on Congress and Bureaucrats in order to have their policies enacted by monetary and sanction lobbying,

Explanation:

Lobbying is the term used for the corrupt practice of using the influence of outside of the government to influence the policies of the government to suit certain vested interests.

These lobbying groups make sure to give certain monetary or fiscal benefits to the people involved in the decision making process so as to get the laws passed in their favor.

This is an illegal practice but unfortunately a rather common occurrence in the country.

Correlational studies show that prolonged viewing of televised violence ________ increased rates of violent behavior. a) inhibit
rewona [7]

Answer:

predict

Explanation:

According to my research on studies conducted by various psychologists, I can say that based on the information provided within the question these studies predict increased rates of violent behavior. Although they may predict violent behavior in those who view violent television programming for extended periods of times it has not been proven, since many people do not act upon the violent actions they witness,
