From the table given with the question, it is clear that the best jobs that each person can have according to their level of qualifications are (C) Hallie is qualified to be a Video Game Designer, Oran is qualified to be a Dentist, and Wade is qualified to be a Carpet Installer.

A carpet installer can have a high school degree, thus a Bachelor’s degree would be too high of a qualification for the job. A person who works has a dentist would need additional qualifications beyond a Bachelor’s degree in order to open his or her dental practice. A bachelor’s degree would suffice for a video game designer.

Suppose that the demand equation for Bobby Dolls is given by q = 216 – p2, where p is the price per doll in dollars and q is the
NikAS [45]

Answer:

P.Ed at p = 5 :- 0.26

Revenue maximising price = 8.5 ; Maximum Total Revenue = 1222

Explanation:

Price Elasticity of Demand shows responsive change in demand, due to change in price.  P.Ed = ( dq / dp ) x ( p / q )

q = 216 - p^2

dq / dp = - 2p

P.Ed = dq / dp x ( p / q )

So, PEd = ( -2p ) x ( p / q )

[ (- 2p) (p) ] / [ 216 - p^2 ]

(- 2p^2 ) / ( 216 - p^2 )

Putting value of P = 5 in P.Ed

<u>- 2(25) </u>

216 - 25

= - 50 / 191

P.Ed = 0.26

Revenue is the total value of receipts from sale of goods & services. TR = p x q

q = 216 - p^2

TR = 216p - p^3

To find price maximising TR , we will derivate TR function with respect to 'p'

d TR / d p = 216 - 3p^2

d TR / d p = 216 - 3p^2   = 0

3p^2 = 216

p^2 = 216 / 3

p^2 = 72

p = √ 72

p = 8.5

Finding maximum revenue ; Putting price = 8.5 in TR function

TR = 216p - p^3

216 (8.5) - (8.5)^3

1836 - 614

1222

Gnom [1K]

The city bus system charges lower fares to senior citizens than to other passengers. Assuming that this pricing strategy increases the profits of the bus system, we can conclude that senior citizens must have a(n) <u>More elastic  Demand </u>for bus service than other passengers.

Explanation:

Elasticity of demand defines relationship between the change in price and the purchases made by the consumer .

In case with the increase or decrease of the price the purchasing habit of the consumer remains the same then we say that the good has inelastic demand .

In case the consumer changes its purchasing habits with the change in price of the product or service  then we say that the good /service has elastic demand.

In the question we can see that the bus service provider have changed the price of the tickets(reduce the price of the ticket) for senior citizens ,so we can say that the with the change in the price of the tickets the demand for the tickets by senior citizen must have increased .<u>Hence it is a example of Elastic demand.</u>
