Answer: The number of granola bars in one pack = 8

The number of fruit rolls in one pack = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of granola bars in each pack and y be the number of fruit rolls in each pack .

Then according to the question we have the following system of equations :

10x+6y=152.....................(1)\\7x+12y=200.......................(2)

Multiply equation (1) by 2 we get

20x+12y=304......................(3)

Subtract equation (2) from equation (3), we get

13x=104\\\\\Rigtarrow x=8

Substitute x=8 in (1), we get

10(8)+6y=152\\\\\Rightarrow6y=152-80\\\\\Rightarrow\ 6y=72\\\Rightarrow y=12

Hence, the number of granola bars in one pack = 8

The number of fruit rolls in one pack = 12

10x+6y=152
5x+3y=76
7x+12y=200
-20x-12y=-304
-13x=-104
x=8
40+3y=76
3y=36
y=12
There are 8 granola bars in a pack and 12 fruit rolls in a pack

Find the sum of the first 63 terms of –19, -13, -7 …
boyakko [2]

The Given Sequence is an Arithmetic Sequence with First term = -19

⇒ a = -19

Second term is -13

We know that Common difference is Difference of second term and first term.

⇒ Common Difference (d) = -13 + 19 = 6

We know that Sum of n terms is given by : S_n = \frac{n}{2}(2a + (n - 1)d)

Given n = 63 and we found a = -19 and d = 6

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(2(-19) + (63 - 1)6)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(-38 + (62)6)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(-38 + 372)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(-38 + 372)

\implies S_6_3 = \frac{63}{2}(334)

\implies S_6_3 = {63}(167) = 10521

The Sum of First 63 terms is 10521

Management is considering adopting a bonus system to increase production. One suggestion is to pay a bonus on the highest 5 perc
Olegator [25]

Answer:

The bonus will be paid on at least 4099 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Problems of normally distributed samples can be solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the percentile of this measure.

In this problem, we have that:

The highest 5 percent is the 95th percentile.

Past records indicate that, on the average, 4,000 units of a small assembly are produced during a week. The distribution of the weekly production is approximately normally distributed with a standard deviation of 60 units. This means that \mu = 4000, \sigma = 60.

If the bonus is paid on the upper 5 percent of production, the bonus will be paid on how many units or more?

The least units that the bonus will be paid is X when Z has a pvalue of 0.95.

Z has a pvalue of 0.95 between 1.64 and 1.65. So we use Z = 1.645

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

1.645 = \frac{X - 4000}{60}

X - 4000 = 60*1.645

X = 4098.7

The number of units is discrete, this means that the bonus will be paid on at least 4099 units.

<u>Options</u>:

A) All butterfly populations are steadily decreasing.

B)All butterfly populations were larger than usual in 2010.

C)The Eastern-Tailed Blue butterfly is more common than the others.

D)The Meadow Fritillary is equally common as the Variegated Fritillary

Answer:

<u>C</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking through the above count data by Louden County Wildlife Conservancy from 2009 to 2011 we notice the Eastern- Trailed Blue butterfly has a higher count, which implies that the Eastern-Tailed Blue butterfly is more common than the other butterflies.

Therefore, we could infer from the samples, that the Eastern-Tailed Blue butterfly is more common than others from the records of the past 3 three years.
