Hopefully you would have triage at your hospital or clinic and would quickly determine what is the urgency of these two new patients and if one or both had urgent matters to take care of they should be admitted right away and attended to first so that other patients with less pressing needs could wait until after these one or two were attended to.

On January 1, Year 1, Price Co. issued $190,000 of five-year, 6 percent bonds at 96½. Interest is payable annually on December 3
Tasya [4]

Answer:

a) Cash received = $183,350

b) Interest expense = $12,730

c) Carrying value = $186,010

Explanation:

As per the data given in the question,

a) Face value of bond = $190,000

Issued at =0.965

Cash received = $190,000 × 0.965

= $183,350

b) Discount on bonds payable = $190,000 - $183,350

=$6,650

Annual amortization of discount on bonds payable =$6,650÷5

= $1,330

Cash interest = $190,000×0.60

= $11,400

Interest expenses = $11,400+$1,330

= $12,730

c)

carrying value = $183,350 + ($1,330 × 2)

= $186,010

Careco Company and Audaco Inc are identical in size and capital structure. However, the riskiness of their assets and cash flows
LenKa [72]

Answer:

E) if the firm evaluates these projects and all other projects at the new overall corporate wacc, it will probably become riskier over time.

Explanation:

Before the merger, Audaco would have rejected any project with an IRR of less than 12% (more risky investments) while Careco only required a 10% IRR (less risky projects). But after the merger the combined WACC will be lower than Audaco's, but higher than Careco's. Therefore, the new merged company will start accepting more risky projects and that tendency will continue over time. Eventually, the company's WACC will have to adjust and increase, and the cycle will continue.
