The answer is b. Smith saw the key cause of affluence as increasing division of labor. By means of the famous model of pins, Smith declared that ten workers could yield 48,000 pins each day if for each of eighteen specialized tasks was allotted to specific workers. Average productivity: 4,800 pins per worker per day. But preoccupied the division of labor, an employee would be fortunate to make even one pin per day.

Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

The best choice is process A since it has the highest EMV of $330000

Explanation:

there is a 50% chance that they will sell 50,000 units, and a 50% chance that they will sell 100,000 units

The decision tree is attached below, the calculations for the decision tree is given as:

The item sells for $10. Process A requires an investment of $120,000 for design and equipment, but results in a $4 per unit cost.

If there is high demand, they will sell 100,000 units, The profit = 100000($10-$4) - $120000 = $480000.

If there is low demand, they will sell 50,000 units, The profit = 50000($10-$4) - $120000 = $180000.

The EMV of process A = 0.5($480000) + 0.5($180000) = $330000

Process B requires only a $100,000 investment, but its per unit cost is $5

If there is high demand, they will sell 100,000 units, The profit = 100000($10-$5) - $100000 = $400000.

If there is low demand, they will sell 50,000 units, The profit = 50000($10-$5) - $100000 = $150000.

The EMV of process B = 0.5($400000) + 0.5($150000) = $275000

If the item is outsourced, there is virtually no cost other than the $6 per unit that they would pay their supplier

If there is high demand, they will sell 100,000 units, The profit = 100000($10-$6) = $400000.

If there is low demand, they will sell 50,000 units, The profit = 50000($10-$6) = $200000.

The EMV of Buying = 0.5($400000) + 0.5($200000) = $300000

The best choice is process A since it has the highest EMV

Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

1. $3,799,988

2. $3,419,989

Explanation:

1. Semiannual lease payment = $468,683

Total semiannual payments = 5*2 = 10

Incremental borrowing rate = 10%, 5% semiannual

Present value of minimum lease payments used to record right to use assets = Semi Annual lease payments * Cumulative PV Factor of annuity due for 10 periods at 5%

= $468,683 * 8.1078 = $3,799,988.0274 ≈ $3,799,988

2. Semiannual payment on 30.06.2021 = $468,683

Pretax amount of liability on 30.06.2021 = ($ 3,799,988.0274 - $468,683) = $3,331,305.0274

Interest expense for 31.12.2021 = $3,331,305.0274 * 5% = $166,565.25137

Semiannual lease payment on 31.12.2021 = $468,683

Pre tax amount for liability December 31, 2021 = $3,331,305.0274 + $166,565.25137 - $468,683 = $3,029,187.2788

Depreciation on right to use assets for 2021 = ($3,799,988.0274 ÷ 5) * (5/10)= $379,998.80274

Pre tax amount of right to use asset to be reported for 2021 = $3,799,988.0274 - $379,998.80274 = $3,419,989.2247 ≈ $3,419,989

In 2–3 sentences, describe how you would conduct a search for a single record.
boyakko [2]

There are several ways you can find a record. The easiest way is by using  the find command. You can do this by pressing the combination keys Control + F. You will then see a mini search box in the top right corner of your screen.   Lastly, type in the word, phrase, or record that you want to find.  You will then be directed to several highlighted words, and TADA! :D

Hope this helps  :)
