This is a psychology question, the term is technically recall versus recognition. Group one is asked to recall/retreive the names from their mind. Whereas group two was asked only to recognize the names from memory. Recall takes more mental process than recognition.

Hey there,

Answer: <span>Group 2 list provides more retrieval indication, making this recognition task easier for them than the task that has been assigned to group 1.

Hope this helps :D

An automobile dealer expects to sell 1250 cars a year. The cars cost $9000 plus a fixed charge of $1000 per delivery. If it cost
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

Order size = 50 cars

The number of orders=25

Explanation:

<em>The Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) is the order size that minimizes the balance of ordering cost and holding cost. At the EOQ, the carrying cost is equal to the holding cost.  </em>

It is computed using the formulae below

EOQ = √ (2× Co× D)/Ch

Co- Ordering cost, Ch- Carrying cost - D- Annual demand

EOQ= √2× 1000× 1250/1000= 50

Number of cars to be ordered per time, i.e optimal order size= 50 cars

Order size = 50 cars

b)

The number of times orders should be placed per year would be calculated as follows:

The number of orders = Annual demand/ order size

The number of orders= 1250/50 = 25

The number of orders=25

Maxwell Manufacturing makes two models of felt tip marking pens. Requirements for each lot of pens are given below. Fliptop Mode
Leto [7]

Answer:

Step 1

Let us assume that x1 amount of Fliptop and x2 amount of Tiptop models are produced, then the objective function is to maximize profitability with the constraints on the production limited by the available plastic, ink and time. Hence the LP model is given by the objective function and the three constraints as shown below:

Objective function ($) (OF):                maximize z = 1000x1 + 1000x2

Plastic material constraint ( Eqn. 1): 3x1 + 4x2 <= 36

Ink material constraint (Eqn. 2):         5x1 + 4x2 <= 40

Time constraint (Eqn. 3):                    5x1 + 2x2 <= 30

Non negativity constraints:                 x1, x2 >= 0

Step 2

Since it is a 2 variable problem it can be solved graphically or using a model solver such as MS-Excel ®. The feasible region is defined by the corner points (boundary points) A, B, C, D, E and the boundary lines of the constraint equations 1,2,3 and the objective function OF as shown in the diagram.

The coordinates and the OF values at the corner points are given below:

A (0,0); OF = 0 (intersection of non-negativity constraints)

B (6,0); OF = 6000 (intersection of x2=0 and eqn 3)

C (4,5); OF = 9000 (intersection of eqn 2 and 3)

D (2, 7.5); OF = 9500 (intersection of eqn 1 & 2)

E (0,9); OF= 9000 (intersection of x1=0 and eqn 1)

Step 3

Hence the optimal solution is given by the point D where the OF equation touches the feasible region with the maximum value. There is an excess of 5 units of molding time available.

GuDViN [60]

Answer:

Market growth rate

Explanation:

The market growth rate refers to a rate in which the company is able to know how much it is growing it could be measured by comparing the prior years performance.

The BCG comprise of Boston consulting group that includes four things i.e. star, question mark, cash cow and dog in which the market growth rate is appears on the vertical axis, and in the horizontal axis, the relevant market share is displayed

Hence, the market growth rate is the answer

Becky martinez paid $65 a share for stock in gbx corporation. the stock has a current market value of $48 a share and pays $1.60
DiKsa [7]

Dividend Yield ratio is calculated as percentage by dividing the Dividend per share by Market price per share. The formula for the Dividend Yield ratio is as follow:

Dividend Yield = Dividend per share / Market Price per share

We are given:

Dividend per share =$1.60

Market Price per share =$48

Hence, Dividend Yield = 1.60 /48 = 0.033 = 3.3%

On January 1, 2020, CORONVS Inc. acquired a machine for $1,000,000. The estimated useful life of the asset is 5 years. The resid
Elenna [48]

Answer:

The book value of the machine at the end of 2021 is $620000.

Explanation:

The straight line depreciation allocates a constant depreciation expense throughout the useful life of the machine. The straight line depreciation expense can be calculated using the following formula,

Depreciation expense per year = (Cost - Residual value) / estimated useful life

Depreciation expense per year = (1000000 - 50000) / 5  = $190000 per year

The book value of asset is the value of the asset calculated by deducting Accumulated depreciation from its cost.

The book value of the machine at the end of 2021 will be the, considering the depreciation expense for year 2021 has been charged,

Accumulated depreciation till 2021 end = 190000 for Year 2020 + 190000 for Year 2021  =  $380000

Book value at the end of 2021 = 1000000 - 380000 = $620000
